Annette Funicello

Yes, times were different in the 50s. Annette Funicello, more than anyone else, was our role model. She was beautiful, bright, feminine and a wonderful aspiration; the boys all loved her. Think of our teen-age role models today and you will understand why she was and is still loved today.

I hope Annette gets to read this. I am about a year younger than you. I fell in love with you as I watched you on the Mickey Mouse Club so many years ago. For some reason I was thinking of you today. Most of us go through life and are known by family and a few friends. Annette you are not only Americas Sweetheart, you belong to the world. I still love you as I did as I watched the MM show and all your movies. We don’t get to see the Beach Movies and others here in Australia any more and I don’t know why. I hope they will be released on DVD. If that happens I will be sure to get the all. We all love you Annette and I hope you will be with us many years to come. Colin

Annette, after watching your Bio many years ago I often wonder how you are doing? My grandfather had MS and although I never had the opportunity to meet him I am sure he was an amazing man. Maybe this is why I have special place in my heart for you. You are always in my thoughts and prayers. I hope all is well and your phrase "Life doesnt have to be Perfect to be Wonderful" is a phrase I try to live by!

I was born in 1969, so I grew up watching Annette Funicello movies on tv. In particular, the Beach Party films which were my favorite. They still are. They provided me with much needed joy into my otherwise terrible young life. I am quite grateful to Annette, and all the other cast and crew members connected to the Beach Party films, for providing me with such happiness. For giving me a way to escape. God bless you Annette. I just found this site and wanted to express the graditute I have for Annette Funicello. You are such an inspiration to people. This generation doesn't have people like you very much anymore and I will carry you on to my future generations so that they will know such wonderful people exist and the world is not all bad. I am twenty-three and I don't have kids yet but my nieces will know about you. I just wanted to leave a little something, and say thank you. I will keep you in my prayers and pray for your comfort.
