Annette Funicello is someone who I have heard about my entire life. Just mentioning her name makes people smile and brings back so many happy memories to all of us who grew up watching her on television. She was a part of everyone's childhood and if you were a teenager in the late 50's early 60's you will remember seeing her on American Bandstand when she was one of the very first female teen idol rock and roll singers - who had 5 top 40 songs on the music chart - Tall Paul - First Name Initial - O Dio Mio - Train Of Love - Pineapple Princess. She then appeared in the Beach Party movies with Frankie Avalon. Everyone has loved her so much ever since she first became a star in 1955 - 55 years ago - on The Mickey Mouse Club.
