I was born in 1958, and my mother named me after her favorite celebrity, Annette Funicello. I hope you're doing well, and I'm sorry to hear about the death of your former mouseketeer friend, Cheryl. I wish you the best and hope that we will all see or hear some news about how you're doing, as you still have many, many fans who all wish you well.

Some of my earliest memories were rushing home from school to get my homework done before the Mickey Mouse Club would come on. I honestly don't think I missed one episode in the first two years! You are part of a treasured memory of wholesome and happy times, carefree and unjaded moments that I will remember always. I never visit Disneyland without seeking out some part of the old Mickey Mouse Club heritage. You are forever in my heart. I hope you are surrounded by people you love and who love you and I hope that you will be a little comforted by the many, many, yes many people who wish you all the best.
My Mass on October 22nd will be for your health, happiness and your family.

No,she is still very much alive,despite being ravaged by the MS.Hey,docs,thanks for the hair cream and boner pills!Can we get around to curing THIS now??

Met Annette, Jimmy Dodd, Roy, Cheryl, Karen, Cubby and others at the Kansas City Train station in 1957 and they were all so nice and each one signed their autographs for all three of us kids age 5, 7, and 9 years old. Autograph book has since been stolen but I still have the memory of them all in their show outfits and mouse ears. Disneyland was only one year old when I was able to go for my birthday. Best time I ever had in my life. Annette is still my favorite of all the Mouseketeers and hope the news media will respect her privacy. I wish her well in her struggle with MS.

When I was younger and watched the Mickey Mouse Club, I "adopted" Annette as my sister. She had everything I wished I had...a loving family, good looks, talent, a strong faith, people who truly loved her from all over the world...(and still do!!) She's always been my idea of the ideal sister and I couldn't love her more than if she truly was my "sis"!! My 2 sons were born in the same years as her 2 sons, so I felt even more connected. God bless you, Annette. There are SO MANY of us "brothers and sisters" out here who love you and are praying for you!!

My thoughts of Annette go way back. I could not wait to see the Mickey Mouse Club everyday after school. I remember waiting in a long line at the Greenfrog Market in Bakersfield just to get an autographed photo of Annette. It was 1957. I'm now 64 and go to Disneyland as often as possible. Thanks, Annette (and Walt) for making my life so wonderful. God be with you Annette.

Annette, you are so loved. You brought such joy to lots of kids like me. My mom took me to see you at the May Co back in 1962 and I will never forget speaking to you. All your friends are there with you. We love you.

I guess I wasn't the only one who rushed home from school to watch the MMC. I started voice lessons when I was ten. My mother bought me the dress,apron, tap shoes and the "ears". Used to stand in front of TV and dance with all of you. Did become a singer and think the MMC started all that. You don't know all of us, but we know you and your heart has adopted us all. Hope you will be in Walt's protective arms.

Annette, you are the woman we all want to be in life. You are beautiful inside and out, you are courages, you are strong and still you give of yourself so others will benefit from it. I loved you as a child and now as a woman. You have made a difference in the world. You are God's special child and blessed in ways we will we only hope to be be blessed. May you live your last days surrounded by friends, family and in God's hand. We will look for the BIG star in the sky when you become one of God's ANGELS. Our Dear Annette....I don't think you have any idea how many kids idolized you when you were on the MMC and later the movies! You were/are a true gem of a person to be able to have such a tremendous following. Thank you for being such a positive light to so many kids of our era.
