Annette, you are in my prayers~! I am 63yrs old and have been a fan since "The Mickey Mouse Club". I recently purchased the tape of the first week's shows and enjoyed the trip down memory lane - esp enjoyed the segments with you in them! I now have severe health problems, but your strength and courage have been an inspiration to me (and countless others)! I too am blessed with a wonderful husband who is always by my side - I am so happy that your husband and family are with you and surround you with love and support! Thank you for the joy you have brought to my life and the lives of countless others! God Bless You!

Saw the post on July 30 by Anona. You said you just heard that Annette's health has deteriorated recently. Do you have a real recent update on her condition, or does anyone here? I have done searches and I have not been able to find any new info within the past year or so.

My name is Nidia Stone. I came to the United States in 1957 and I used to watch your show. From the moment I saw you I promised I would name my daughter after you. I kept my promise and I also named my son Bobby. I thank you for all of the years of joy that you have brought to my family.

Was just serching for some news about Annette, her name came up in conversation recently and it set me to wondering how she was doing. I like so many girls loved watching the Mickey Mouse Club groing up. I'm now 64 about the same age as Annette. I grew up in Philadelphia, home of Frankie and Fabian but my favorite male singer was Paul Anka. I know Anette and he were friends. Anyone if you read this Annette hope you know a lot of think of you, wish you well & Thanks for the entertainment and memories.

I too was just talking about Annette after hearing about Terri Garr. I too loved all the films and songs she did. I loved so much the last thing she did about her life and appeared in the end. Hope that things are good with her. At least it sounds like she is surrounded by people who love and care for her.

Well today is Annette's birthday. We love you Annette....my very best wishes to you.

I have very fond memories of watching Annette when I got home from school - I really looked forward to watching segments with Annette in. Last week a friend told me her 25yr old son had been diagnosed with MS and my thoughts turned to Annette and wonder how she is. My prayers and thoughts are with her at this time. Good Bless You - thank you for the very happy memories I have of my childhood - I loved everying your were in.

Regarding Annette's current health condition.

The average survival of patients from the time of diagnosis of MS to death is 30 years (source: MS Foundation data at http://www.benefitsnow.co.uk/handbook/multipl... )

Annette first started experiencing the symptoms of MS in 1987. That puts her twenty years into the "typical" 30 year survival curve.

Understandably, her immmediate family is protecting her privacy, so credible first-hand updates on her current health situation are non-existent (what you read if you search for them is either from tabliods or or online celebrity rumour mills, ergo, speculative garbage).

However, given her apparent diagnosis of Progressive Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis, she is need our prayers. The advanced stages of this version of the disease boil down to gradual, irreversible worsening of symptoms. They include total loss of mobility, blindness, speech failure and difficulty of swallowing.

Annette, You were my inspiration during a very difficult time in our family in the 50's. A lot was going on in our home, but I knew I could turn on the TV and watch you. "Thank you" does not seem like enough for what you did for me. Please know that you remain in my prayers and I pray you have peace, love, and precious family around you.

Annette: I think about you all the time. I look for info on you to see how you're doing, but there is never any news. I'm glad I found this site. I sang along with you when you were on the Mickey Mouse Club. You were so beautiful!

I would rush from home from school everyday to see the Mickey Mouse Club. You were my favorite. I always wanted to be pretty and popular like you. I would dream at night I was you. I took singing lessons and thought that some day it would happen. It never did. I guess I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. You brought so many happy hours of pleasure to a lonley little girl who grew up in a disfunctional situation.

Today, at 64 years of age, I still think about those day. I just wanted you to know that you are in my prayers and in my heart always.
