How could something like this happen to someone so nice and so beautiful? It's so cruel. If there is a God her joy in heaven will be immense. I am 62 and have loved her almost my entire life. I have never forgotten her. Thinking of her has been a part of my life.

Time will never erase the beauty you have brought to so many lives. If we could all just go back to a simpler time with the Mouseketeers, without cell phones, drugs, and kids having babies while they are still babies themselves--how wonderful that would be. I saw you at the Forest Park Highlands in St. Louis fifty years ago and still remember it. God bless you now and always,

My friend has had MS since 1993. Where do you receive the Stem Cell Treatment? We live in Indiana. Diana from Maryland wrote: Dear Nancy: You live so close to Tijuana, Mexico. I live on the East Coast and still decided to try the Umbilical Cord Stem Cell treatment first time in March 2007. I thank God I decided to go for it. The most important achievement : there was no symptom worsening (disease progression) since then. I am still using motorized scooters inside the house and out, and also a stairlift to get up and down inside the house, meaning I am not able to take steps by myself yet. But I can stand by holding the rail, I can get out of my bed by myself, onto the scooter, to the bathroom onto the commode and back without aid. My parents live next door, I have two teenager kids and a working husband. My support system is terrific, may God be glorified! Before the stem cell treatment I could not even move in my bed, could not get up, I needed help for every move. I was drained out the whole day, my spine was so weak that I was almost crumbling whie sitting on my scooter. Before treatment, I had hit a rock bottom of functional distress I have never reached again for 18 months. I will go back in about 3 months to have another round of treatment, as I knew from the start that Umbilical Cord Stem Cells (which are pluripotent) are not a cure, at least so far, but a huge help in visibly improving function and quality of life. I have been diagnosed in 1994, as relapsing-remitting at first. Then, 4 years ago I turned progressive, could no longer walk, drive and stand long hours as my job required. I had to retire by disability at 43. I would like to share with you more about my treatment experience, if you want me to. I have tried before Interferon for 7 years, live bee stings for 5 years, acupuncture, you name it. Nothing helped except the heterologous stem cell,(meaning the umbilical cord ones). My email is cladiplan@erols.com. May God bless you and give you the strength to cope. All the best, Diana Lazar <quoted text>

Well at 39 I tell people that I was named after Annette Funicello and I am an absolute fan of her's. I saw her in the 1970's until they stopped on the Mickey Mouse Club.

Annette,I've tried to set up charity events in your honor to raise $ and awareness for MS,but they don't act like they want to be bothered with putting out any effort. What's the matter with them?I didn't even get a "thanks" for the donation I made. But we,your fans, are a stronger unit than some rude bureaucracy, and we will keep pushing until there is a cure.We owe you at least that much.We are The World's Largest Tag Team, and we don't know "quit".Hang in there,Annette. We love you!! Glen (her husband)--consider us at your beck and call!

Annette,
I would like to say a happy birthday but I just hope you have the best birthday you can. I think of you often. Thank you for just being you. I have just finished reading your book. I laughed I cried and most of all for a short time I became part of your family. It felt as if you truly are the girl next door. Thank you for your frankness in opening up your life to us all. I hope you truly found the happiness you looked for. I believe from your story that you did. Thank you for your movies and music.
I will always listen to your songs before any other. Your voice is that of an angel. I drive around 1000 km each week in my job. The traffic is very frustrating and annoying but I put on some of your songs and the road gets easier and the entire atmosphere in the car changes for the better. I continue to pray for your health and for you to be able to celebrate many more birthdays. God bless you and your family. You are always in my heart. Colin

My friend, Gayle, and I had a fan club going for you years ago and we just wanted you to know that we still admire you, probably even more so now. Pictures that we took at a party for you (Happy belated Birthday, by the way !!) were mailed to the Dick Clark Show & they sent us treats, as there was some type of promotion for those at that time. May God bless you, best wishes, and please know that you'll always be special to so many. Love from your fans forever, Mary & Gayle :)

Annette, I never knew who you were as I grew up in another country. One night I was out on the town and a guy came up to me said, "Sorry, I thought you were someone else. You look so much like Annette Funicello." I told him, "Who is Annette?" He said, "Don't worry, it's a compliment." Several people have since told me that I reminded them of you. I finally saw your picture in the newspaper about 2 weeks ago and they were right...you are beautiful. Now that I've seen your picture...I am honored to be mistaken for you. I just turned 56, and have dark brown hair, brown eyes, and just about your size in the picture.
I just read that you suffer from MS and had an accident. I am so sorry to hear this. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless!

Hey,Dee,two things:One,we'd love to see a picture of you to see if they're right about any resemblance, and Two,it's funny your name should be "Dee" because Annette played a girl named "Dee Dee" in a series of "Beach" movies!(Weird, huh?)
