Update on Annette Funicello

My name is also Annette and I have followed Annette Funicello since she was on the Mickey Mouse show. My heart goes out to her and her family and I often think about her and how she is doing. Please update me if you can. Thanks

I am a fan of Annette Funicello for the past 51 years. I have been her and her husbands friend for 17 years. In 1984 I recorded A song about her called "MYANNETTE". I also have MS. My mum has been an Annette fan ever since I can remember, I'm almost 26 years old. I have too in a sense grown up with Annette on the tv all the time and would like to wish her the kindest wishes from 'Down Under', from me and my mum Mary.
All the best Annette, we both hope you are doing well and that your family and those close to you are also doing well. Thankyou for giving such a wholesome image, I don't know what it is but there is something very special about you...we just hope your living life to the fullest and have so much love from those dearest to you.

I have always loved this girl! Yeah, for me she will always be a girl, though I first watched her on TV here in Brazil in the early seventies, since that´s when her beach films were alllowed to be shown on tv(ten years after produced according to the rules then). Too bad my parents didn´t take me to see her movies in the early/middle sixties, but I guess that at 7/8 years of age I was a little too young for that. I just hope sweet Annette is living her life to the fullest together with her family. I will always love you Annette!

I have been a fan of Annette's since I was a very young girl .. I am now 62 years old so you know I have loved her for years and years. I use to post pictures of you all over my room ... you were definitely my favorite.

I use to live out in L.A. when she was a Mousekeeter ... and I followed her updates her whole life - marriage(s), birth of her 3 kids and now a grandma - and her MS disclosure. Pls know that my heart if right with you, Annette and I most sincerely hope your are having as full a life as you can and that your kids and grandkids bring you as much joy as my grandkids bring me.

Annette is under 24 hour care. She is in constant pain due to advanced MS. She has little vision left. She can't do the smallest endeavor to care for herself. Her husand (Glen Holt) is responsible for supervising her care. Things are not well for Annette. Please pray for her.

Annette is in constant pain due to advanced neurological damage via her MS. She has little or no vision left. (I believe she has finally lost all vision.) Annette is under 24 hr. care, supervised by her 2nd husband, Glen Holt. Please pray for Annette.

I have been with you for over 50 years. I'm 58. I had a car accident in'90 with neck problems. I have fibromyalgia and it is starting to show signs of MS. You are my inspiration. I love you as a friend. You may not know me but I'm sure you have heard of me as I am the girl in the song "Swingin'"sung by John Anderson, It was written by a friend of mine when I was 16. So I know that you will know that I'm down to earth. Prayers are sent to Heaven for you. Y'all tell her what I wrote. She feels like a sister. Love, Charlotte

I forgot to tell you that I am from Crystal Springs, Mississippi. I wish I could take your pain. With this fibromyalgia I hurt too. But I have a big heart and I hate for others to hurt. I pray for God to grant you comfort.

I am constantly thinking of you and hope your suffering is being held at bay with medication. You gave me so many memories from the time I was 12 years old and watching The Mickey Mouse Club here in Australia. These memories I will cherish forever. I have enjoyed you as a mouseketeer, and as a young woman in movies, and then, having your first child. I am praying for you, and wish you God speed.

I watched you when I was young enough to understand television, both the Mickey Mouse Club and your movies. I'm 46 now and I have a wife who has a host of illnesses, such as fibromyalgia, post polio syndrome, bad migraine headaches, for starters. She takes medications for pain, and I see how much pain she can be in. I have the greatest hope that you are as comfortable as possible, and your suffering is at a minimum. When I go to Disneyland, or think about it, the first person I think about is not Mickey, but you Annette. Thank you for many decades of joy, and happiness not just for me, but for all people around the world. May your name, music, and movies be rembered forever. God bless you!!!!

I grew up on reruns of Mickey Mouse Club in the Chicago area. Saw some of the beach movies on TV also...
Saw the 1987 reunion movie & hoped for more..
The big 2006 hit High School Musical has a sweet female lead Vanessa Anne Hudgins who could pass for a Hispanic niece of Annette.
Dear Annette...I pray the Lord comforts and sustains you through your hard times. Your husband (on the one interview I saw) seems like a wonderful man who is helping to care for you. You offered sweetness and good memories to so many.

Thinking and praying for you dear Annette and family. Perhaps this year will
bring about a long awaited miracle from our dear Lord. You are such
an inspiration and witness. He has surrounded you with love and filled you
with His peace as you have trusted in Him. As Romans 8:28 states: And
we know that all that happens to us is working for our good if we love God
and are fitting into His plans. In these days of darkness and uncertainty, it would be nice to see Him breakthrough, touching your life, that many would be drawn to the Author and finisher of our faith, Jesus Christ. Bless

Annette, I am 40 years old and was diagnosed with having MS since I was in my 20s. I grew up watching you, wishing I were you, and now we have so much in common, ironically. I am also losing my vision, difficulty speaking, but I know our loved ones know what we're thinking just by looking into our eyes (yes, I have brown eyes too!) God says not to question, that everything is for a reason; I don't know what the reason for MS is, maybe it just teaches us that obtaining peace within ourselves is possible. So, I think of you, I pray for you, and at times that you may not feel strong, as I know there are times I don't, ask God for his strength. All my love, AmyJo

How is Annette doing?

Annette, I fell in Love with you when I was only 5 years old. I would run home from school just to see you on the Mickey Mouse Club in the early 60's.(I didn't know the show was already in syndication). You never knew you were my girlfriend! Please know that I think of you and pray for you and your family all the time. I hope you are in God's Comfort and I pray for your "Miracle".
