Annette Funicello - my grammer school crush

I attended Carpenter Avenue with Annette just prior to her becoming a mouseketter. She was a beautiful little girl then and I had a schoolboy crush on her. I knew it was over when she appeared on television never to come back to our little school again. Fond memories of a wonderful person. Good luck Annette.

I grew up reading and collecting everything on Disney. I loved Annette Finicello, especially during her teen recording years. I remember that Annette did not feel she sounded good when she recorded 'How will I know my Love" and much preferred the flip side. Mr. Disney ehjoyed listening to singer Teresa Brewer and felt that Annette had the same spunk when he heard the flip side "Ma, He's Making Eyes at Me."
"Sweet Old Fashioned Girl" was to fillow up, but for some reason I think it was given to Roberta Shore. Annette did record "Music, Music, Music" which was just one of Teresa's giant hits. "Tall Paul" also had that same spunk. Funny what we never forget. It makes me wonder if there still are some unreleased recordings in the Disney vaults by our beloved Annette.
