I live in Vancouver and my company has a location in Squamish. You can visit the Chieftain pub where a lot of the show is filmed. Squamish is about a 40 minute drive from Vancouver - halfway between Vancouver and Whistler, the world's number one rated ski resort - so if you come and check out the area, you will have a lot to see. However, the highway is being redone right now in preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympics, so it's a bit of a hassle.... Expect a lot of rain this time of year - you will likely only see snow if get as far as the Whistler ski hills.

I absolutely love this show! I have never written anything about a show but this one is really good. I look forward to every Friday night coming home and having some laughs with my sushi, wine and "Men in Trees!"

The show is filmed in and around Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The small town that provides the face for the town of Elmo, Alaska is Squamish, B.C. It is a small town of about 15,000 people up the coast from Vancouver.

this is how you know for sure where it's filmed :) I just found out today and I'm still stunned.
