Repeating history: her mother Jayne Hathaway caused Max Baer (Jethro) to go permanantley blind when, after shooting an episode of "The Beverly Hillbillies" in 1968, Hathaway stripped naked and lured Baer into a closet where , upon seeing the shriveled, mutant actresses body, Baer went into uncontrollable blinking fits that led to his early screen retirement and subsequent total loss of eyesight.(he now operattes a sno-cone machine at a Minneapolis Mall.
