D.A. Moves Forward With Appeal Of Judge Perry's Ruling In Criminal case

Whitney Houston was found in the bathtub of a Beverly Hills hotel yesterday ... with her face underwater ... people close to Whitney tell TMZ.

According to our sources, her stylist, hairdresser and two bodyguards were among the people in the room at the time. We're told they became worried about Whitney because she had been in the bathroom for over an hour and it was time to start getting ready for the Clive Davis party.

Our sources say they began to knock on the door and there was no answer. We're told the hairdresser, who is female, went in to check on Whitney. She immediately screamed and, according to our sources, one of the bodyguards came running in and pulled her out of the tub.

We're told Whitney's face was below the water and her legs were up ... like she had slid down the back of the tub.

According to our sources, her body was very cold and the bodyguard attempted CPR. That's when hotel security was called.

Paramedics arrived shortly thereafter, but Whitney was pronounced dead at 3:55 PM

Whitney Houston Taking Xanax

Whitney Houston was taking Xanax ... evidence she may have fallen asleep in the bathtub where she died ... TMZ has learned.

Family members of Whitney tell us the singer had a prescription for the drug, which is commonly used to treat anxiety and depression.

We told you yesterday ... the night before Whitney died, she had been drinking a lot. Xanax mixed with alcohol can cause severe sedation, which could cause someone to fall asleep in a bathtub.

As TMZ first reported, Whitney was found in the bathtub and removed before EMTs arrived. The L.A. County Coroner will perform an autopsy -- possibly today -- to determine if Whitney died from drowning, and OD or other causes.

As we previously reported, Beverly Hills cops obtained a search warrant and found various prescription bottles -- but, as far as we know, no illicit drugs.

So sad....she was a beautiful, talented person.

Extremely talented and so sad for her family especially her daughter...what a shame that prescription pills seem to be a factor in this death. It's deja vous all over again.

Sure is! In our "ordinary, boring" lives, these people seem to have it all sometimes....so sad to see such talent gone....AGAIN.

Whitney Houston Daughter Bobbi Kristina Rushed to the Hospital

Whitney Houston's 18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was just rushed to Cedears-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles ... TMZ has learned.

According to our sources ... Bobbi was taken out of the Beverly Hilton, where Whitney died yesterday, on a stretcher.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ police and fire responded to a call for a medical emergency, but would not confirm who was transported.

As TMZ first reported, Bobbi Kristina got into an angry shouting match last night with police officers outside the hotel room where her mother was found dead

Bobbi Christina is Whitney's only child from husband Bobby Brown. Houston and Brown were married in 1992 and divorced in 2007.

Bobbi K Brown is at Cedar Sinai Hospital, LA. I hope her friends and family are there to support her. Her heart must be breaking.

Whitney was seen entering a party yesterday. She was in good spirits and looked normal. When she left, she looked terrible and had scratches on her arms. There were reports and pictures taken of her with blood on her leg.

She was found by a bodyguard/friend in the bathtub.
He called hotel desk and asked for emergency assistance. Whitney's head was back in the water of the tub. He lifted her out and began CPR. EMT's responded and tried to revive her for over 25 minutes.

My question is this: Why do those we so enjoy die so young? Why do some of them "off" themselves as in the case of Amy Winehouse? We have lost some of the best singers and musicians in the past few years.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, 18, the only daughter of the late Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown, was taken to Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles to be treated for anxiety just a day after her mother was found dead, CBS News is reporting.

There is no word on her condition.

FYI for anyone interested in knowing or has young adult females in their family.....the birth control shot young girls take once a month DO NOT WORK. I have heard of six cases now just in my neck of the woods re the shot not working at all and documented as having had the shot. Young female adults who took the shot and are now pregnant. Seems nothing has ever worked except the pill. just an fyi

First they control smoking, now fat and obeses folks eating too many cupcakes (some of which complained about the smokers who now get their own control), now birth control. Whats next

NON factual statements like have always cracked me up for being so non factual and just pulled out of the air. Unless of course YOU are that person and YOU know first hand. She has ongoing legal issues and it would NOT be wise for her to mention anything about her child to anyone.

How do you know there was no trauma?
Were you there to see or not see this said trauma?
She owes nothing to you or anyone about speaking out about her child.

Im interested in brain waves, so please tell us how you KNOW as a FACT she has had no trauma? If it is because she doesn't speak about publicly for YOUR pleasure means nothing. Again, she cannot speak of her child with ongoing cases. But a clue for two cents, its cheap and it helps you to be more in the know.

This is , of course, simply MY OPINION (which I believe Just and even YOU were both expressing also).....but NOTHING...no pending lawsuit, no court, no lawyer, no judge, NOTHING could stop me from expressing remorse and "trauma" over the loss of my child. Now if Casey isn't wired that way, great. But I'd HOPE that the majority of people would feel that NOTHING would stop THEM and have a hard time understanding ANYTHING stopping another parent.

That is my OPINION, which is not possible to be right or wrong...it just IS....just as Just's and YOURS are.

Lead Casey Anthony prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick is one of 23 applicants seeking the judicial seat left open by the ouster of former Orange-Osceola Judge James Turner, the chair of the Ninth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission confirmed today.

The Commission plans to conduct applicant interviews and send a list of three to six names to the governor in early March, said Patrick T. Christiansen, chair of the nominating panel.

Linda Drane Burdick, who rarely comments outside of the courtroom, declined discussing her interest in the judicial post today.

Burdick has remained largely outside the public eye since the Casey Anthony trial ended last July, but she remains one of the top and most seasoned prosecutors working for Orange-Osceola State Attorney Lawson Lamar.

The Florida Supreme Court removed Turner from his job in November after he violated several judicial canons. His behavior included hugging and kissing a clerk so often that she began hiding from him at the Osceola County Courthouse. Turner explained that he hugged the woman a few times and that she never told him to stop.

Caught a few minutes of Nancy Grace where she came out swinging noting Anna Nicole Smith and specifically noting her enablers Howard K. Stern and the doctors. She put their pictures right out there. Then she mentioned Michael Jackson and Dr. Murray.

Round three?

Thanks to Stern this is how ANS will be remembered. Only when someone else dies of a drug overdose does her name come up. Well that and her fake 38's.

I too ovetheard the lead-in of her show (my husband was flipping through the channels) and heard her comments about Anna's death, Howard and the doctors. I agree with you.

It's so sad. Two things Anna Nicole Smith and Whitney Houston had in common other than beauty is they both died in their hotel rooms. And somehow drugs, prescribed or illicit, and alcohol seem to be involved in both deaths. Celebrities have been dying from drug use and abuse for many years. I'm afraid it won't end in my lifetime. It's so very sad.
