Petticoat Junction? I think not!!!!

It appears this list was compliled by a group of people that weren't around when some of those 'stinkers' were on TV for years. That was a different time then and maybe those shows are horribly dated, they were entertaining then. Fact: watching reruns of Friends is dreadful. It was entertaining back when it was on, but it no longer is relevant or funny.

Being old enough to have seen EVERY one of the shows listed, I think your Temp staff have confused some on that list, the short-lived early-cancellation shows with "really bad" TV.
I saw "Turn On" for example: A 30-minute filmed single-camera sketch comedy show hosted by Tim Conway. It was edgy and ahead of its time and the decision to yank it was made BEFORE it went on the the air by nervous ABC suits. The complaint calls about the Pope joke were just a cover. |

I think about worst shows as those that were terrible yet still managed to find an audience and last awhile, rather than things so bad that no one ever saw them. My candidates are the somewhat current "Reba" and "Yes, Dear." How can anyone find anything comedic in such formulaic mush?

I think all the sitcom shows today should join this list.

Don't tell me the Bush/Cheney Evil Corruption Machine had nothing to do with "Cop Rock"!

While I agree with "The Roper's" being on this list, saying "Three's Company" was a bad show is complete BS!
|
||||
|
You left out "Bosom Buddies". Other than the nostalgia of Tom Hanks, what an awful show.

Three's Company was great.
Mork and Mindy should be on that list. |

How could you possibly have left off the Brady Bunch Variety Hour? I mean... seriously.

What about TMZ? As an internet site... you can find anything at all on the net, good or bad. Let people who want to watch this drivel seek it out on their own. But taking 15 to 30 seconds of some "star" or celebrity at their worst, or picking their noses, or driving badly, then fleshing it out by running the clip 6 times and adding the smarmiest, most smug and arrogant examples of Gens X and Y is a waste of electricity.

I do agree with some of the other selections of longer running programs, like Mama's Family and Small Wonder, which I thought were horrible even as an undiscriminating adolescent. That said, it seems pointless to rail against shows that were swiftly executed by both the viewing public and the networks. That's too easy. For a perfect contemporary example of a popular yet awful program, I'd have nominated the farcical CSI: Miami.

Forget about shows! How about movies premiered on TV? The Worst Movie Premiered on Television prize goes to "Casper's Scare School".

I defy anyone to make the case that Petticoat Junction is worse than the glut of utterly stupid reality programs we're suffering through today. Sunset Tan alone makes the thought of a mother and her three hot daughters running a hotel only accessible by a steam train seem not only plausible, but downright brilliant.

B.J. and the Bear ruled. It had trucks and a monkey. Awesome combo anytime, anywhere.

' I could not disagree more. At the time, that show was 'laugh out loud' funny. Hanks and Peter Scalari had perfect comic chemistry. |

I LOVED Beauty and The Beast! It was AWESOME! It was so romantic. They jumped the shark though when they had Linda Hamilton's character killed. I don't know if she wanted off the show or if they were just trying to go in another direction but it was the chemistry between Catherine and Vincent that made the show. After she left it was ok but not the same and could not and did not last as long as it would have with her still there.

I'm still trying to figure out how you could arbitrarily name the 25 worst shows ever. Don't you mean; "The 25 shows I personally liked the least?"
Unfortunately, the measure of a show is commercial success, not your opinion of artistic value. Many of the shows you named - inane, or otherwise - had long runs, rendering them successful, by the standard that really counts. Perhaps you should get some kind of consensus before publishing a list you purport to be reflective of actual quality? |

Three's Company shouldn't be on that list! It was funny. Not all shows have to be super dramatic or serious. Lighten up!
