Carly was not good. flubbed the words three times, and shrieked the song. ai needs to stop using mentors with songs that are unfamiliar to the finalists. these kids should have been given hand picked songs by alw himself. there were many, many better choices.

Good read, as usual, Nancy. We'll say goodbye to Syesha tonight, even though she gave, in my opinion, one of her better performances last night. Jason was out of his element, but the likability factor is stong!

I am tired of Carly. Her performance last night wasn't that great to me, although others appeared to think her screaming was ok. Brooke is sweet but getting a little worn out. She is actually pretty limited in the choices that work for her. I used to think Syesha should go but she showed another side last night. I say Brooke or Carly bye bye.

Syesha, as always, sang flat. She has the package, the stage presence, but she sings flat. She cannot win and needs to go. The kid with the dreads has numbers on his weeks left too, he ain't gonna cut this thing. Its gonna be either Young Boy or Blues Boy.
As to the choices: I got a kick out of some of these folks not knowing either ALW or the songs. Come on guys, you didnt have to be a theater nerd in HS to know this stuff. If you are going to be an entertainer you have got to include this stuff in your bag or forget it. |
