What is it with Simon and Brooke? Is it just me or does Simon always seem to defend Brookes song choice and most of the time seem to think she's really good when she's not. The final three should be the two Davids and Carly. I think that it was Carly who did the best job last night. Flip a coin, its between Jason and Brooke but I think Brooke has made one mistake too many.

While I do not agree with everything you said, I agree 100 percent with your top 3 and bottom 2, and that Syesha just rounds out the bottom 3, although there were only 2 flat out bad performances. Please let Jason or Brooke leave this week. They were both horrible. I think David C and Carly gave the 2 best performances of the season.

Oh, that was David Archuleta singing last night? I thought that it was one of the Jonas brothers because it sure sounded like Radio Disney to me. I can't believe that this kid will probably win the whole shebang.
Carly, David C., and Syesha were great. Brooke and Jason were not good at all. It should be Brooke going but I won't underestimate the power of sympathy votes.

Can someone PLEASE explain to me why some one of the caliber of Andrew Lloyd Webber would sink to allow these people to ruins his sings in public.
I have never watched American Idol and I never will, but of the people I have heard sing elsewhere, most are only average singers like you would find in choirs all over the country. Most have no real outstanding talent. Ruben is very talented and so was Jennifer Hudson, but that was about it.
But ALW songs should be sung by talented people like his ex wife or Michael Crawford. If Sir Andrew would like his songs performed by reality show contestants there is a young man named Andrew Johnson on Britain Has Talent that actually has the voice to perform one of the scores from his Broadway masterpieces.

What did Lord Andrew say to Carly about her tatoos? Did he tell her she couldn't sing one of his songs if she had tatoos?

Did he really tell Carly she couldn't sing if she had tattoos on her arms?

I actually think that the judges influence a lot on what you think. I would think that a song was horrible, only to have Rnady say, "That was molten hot!" and I would think back and be like, "yeah... it was quite good." Or if I really liked a song, and Simon called it "terrible", I would think, "yeah... it wasn't that good actually."
So I guess my point is, I felt that Jason Castro's song wasn't as bad as the judges said it was. I actually loved his version of it, considering how he was sick with a fever when he sang that song.

I liked Syesha's performance the best and feel she definitely hit all the notes- she always chooses vocally challenging songs and pulls them off well. She gets criticized for not showing personality, but not all her song choices have been upbeat- like Vanishing and I Will Always Love You- which has probably hurt her despite her talented vocal skills.
Jason and Brooke should have been in the bottom.
