Andrew Lloyd Webber Grills 'American Idol' Top Six - David Cook...

David Arch was awesome tonight (and I am a 40-year-old married man). So was David Cook. Carly and Syesha did well too although Syesha missed a whole heapin' help of notes.

I agree wholeheartedly that Jason and Brooke deserve to be in the bottom tier - and Brooke deserves to go home after False Start No. 2. What is up with that and where does she think she is - on some high school stage doing a dress rehearsal?

David Archuletta is absolutely the best! He never lets ANYONE down! I would never miss his performances.

I think you've got it right. If VFTW doesnt save her, I hope Brooke GETS to go home . Otherwize she may be the first contestant to be hospitalized for a nervous breakdown. She's not tough enough for showbiz.

We had so much fun this week in our house trying to guess which ALW songs the contestants were going to sing. Sayesha and Carly happily surprised us with their renditions. Andrew L Webber was right, it would have been wrong for Carly to sing Think of Me.
-I agree with the writer about the lack of songs from Joseph!
-David Archuleta would have been awesome on Close Every Door
-It is interesting that David and Jason picked female ballads.
-We had to laugh when Andrew said that he never imagined a guy in dreadlocks singing Memory, and Jason's honest reaction to doing the whole ALW theme.
-Brook would have done well with Memory or one of the love songs from Jesus Christ Superstar

How many of you pathetic people who think the talentless child will win, will actuallY BUY his CD? Probably not many. This show is a joke this season and none have talent.

You don't think "One Rock and Roll..." was "a version of the song that approximated the difficulty and range of the original"?? Have you heard the original?? Actually, I guess you're right - Syesha's version was much rangier and probably more difficult than the original.

I actually was very touched by Jason's version of Memories -- it was very sweet and I liked it better than many others. I've never posted before, just so you know, I'm a long time opera fan, studied and sang opera some and am loving the exposure to talented voices of a different kind. Jason gave me goosebumps. Go figure! Little David is cute, but rather one dimentional. Don't think he will be a star.

I know that David A and David C have big followings, but they were real snoozers last night - very safe, very boring renditions. Neither really carried the emotion of their songs. Carly and Syesha were the only two that had real emotion, real skill, and fit into the context of musical theater. And you could tell from Andrew Lloyd Webber's responses how pleased he was with them in rehearsal. If this were really a singing competition and not a teeny bopper competition, Carly would win it, hands down.

I was pleasantly surprised by Syesha.
Cannot for the life of me figure out most of what Paula says. I DID notice, though, that she didn't fall back on her usual "You look BEAUTIFUL" shtick.
