Caught a rerun of an awards show on BET. Alecia won an award - don't remember what but she made the comment about everybody wanna be like us. That has to be the most stupid thing I've ever heard out of anyone's mouth. Who wants to be 'like us'- the teenage gangsta wanna be little punk ass white boys???? Got to be cos I sure don't see any doctors, lawyers, successful business men, The Donald, Ted Turner and it goes on and on - Tell me Alecia who exactly wants to be like us and what is it they wanna be. If it's singing - there are plenty of white that can sing, there is plenty of all colors who can sing. Then you rambled something about OBama, I guarantee you OBama likely doesn't want his praises "sung" by alot of the gangsters of hip hop, rap or whatever for that matter. He after all is 1/2 white isn't he so there you go. Halle Berry of course is 1/2 white but prefers to be black so she can be the first black woman to win this or that - and that is kinda funny since she always got the bad black man for marriage obviously and ended up with what - a white man and probably a white baby - so there you go - who wants to be like who Alecia???? I will close with this - I am labeled a "swirl" by most of my friends because I am white, black, and have a bit of Hispanic blood tossed in there too. So don't got saying it's some jealous white wanting to rant and rave. I close with this Ms Alecia- I might want to sing a little bit like you, wouldn't want your touring and traveling life - I do like home and most of all I sure wouldn't want to be like you and have them 'big ole elephant legs" you've got.
