"Everybody wants to be like us"

Needs to apologize for her conceited and ignorant comment she made on BET awards 2008. Alicia keys said, "Black is beautiful, everybody wants to be like us"

I am Black/latino and I agree black is beautiful. But black is not the only culture or race "everybody want to be like, talented or appeal to" Many other races are proud too of who they are and their talents. Alicia Keys disrespected many cultures with this stupid comment. Alicia thinks she is the last soda in the desert and is also disrespecting other cultures by minimizing their talents, beauties,and pride with her stupid comment.

Alicia, instead of your ignorant comment, why not say,"ALL RACES ARE BEAUTIFUL AND TALENTED"?????
YOU NEED TO STOP BEING SO CONCEITED AND DISRESPECTFUL OF YOUR OWN HALF WHITE SELF AND OTHERS.

I agree. Just because she is Alicia Keys it doesn't mean she can disrespect other races and their talents.
That sure was a very cocieted and ignorant comment, especially coming from a half black and half white person like she is.

Everybody wants to be black is this girl crazy as far as i'm concerned she lacks the two things that make real black women and that's rhythm and soul. Alicia maybe it's the white part of you that you hate so much you have some major insecurities sweetie. I'm a proud latina and you are one of my favorite role models but if it's anything that has bothered me about you it has been that you've desperately tried to identify more with your black side. Honestly to the rest of us you just a white girl trying to hard to be down. Your skin, features, and hair are white the only thing black bout you is your ass, if it's anybody that wants to be black it's yo ass.
