Big Fish: The One That Got Away

Full story: Newsday

Tim Burton plays up the fun but misses the point in this fable-like, quasi-Gumpish odyssey of a remarkable young man who may exist only in the mind.

Hmmmm, " Burton fails to give.....any reason to care about the characters", "....Big Fish has no power at all." Hello? OK, so you've read the book and the film didn't match up. Big deal, get over yourself, you sound like a whiney snivelling kid. What you self indulgent film critics forget, is to use the word 'I' instead of 'you' and 'audience'. You hardly speak for 'the' audience. But then again, thanks for 'your' opinion.

I highly recommend this film. It's charming, emotional and a modern fairytale. It is clear that Burton poured his heart and soul into this piece, because by the end of it you feel for all the characters.

Simply sensational..
