He should receive a lifetime achievement award. His films are always worth watching and his performances magnificent. There are no actors working currently who come near to Finney's talent.

Absolutely! It is an injustice for actor of Albert's caliber to have been denied an Oscar so many times.

Sidenote: Pakula's 1987 "Orphans" and Parker's 1982 "Shoot the Moon" are two Finney gems that deserve wildly more acclaim.

One of the finest actors of all time----Under the volcano is beyond any other actors skill. Albert deserves every award for acting there is.

He should get an oscar for his performance in "Amazing Grace"
just released 2/23/07. He was amazing- a wonderful performance!!!

Albert Finney is a most superier actor --- his onscreen performances include Shoot the Moon, Under the Volcano and of course The Dresser.

And then there is the most magical Two for the Road, perhaps not his greatest role -- but if one simply wants to see Mr. Finney at this physical best -- it's a must see.
