Possible New News

Okay,

Most of the people on here know I don't like passing on rumors and don't believe in making stuff up regarding AC/DC, but there is some possible validity to what I am about to share.

Again, take this for what it is worth and it could be a bunch of crap but part of the source(s) is reliable.

My cousin, who has some pretty good connections in the entertainment industry told me that a guy he knows told him he had a try-out with Angus and Malcolm for lead singer. My cousin even said he wasn't sure how valid this guy was, but he does know that he is good friends with Simon Wright and that supposedly Simon hooked him up with an audition. This guy told my cousin that Brian Johnson's voice is supposedly history, hence the hook-up through Simon for a try-out.

Again, don't hold me to any of this, but my cousin said two things regarding this:

1)He DOES know that this guy is good friends with Simon Wright

2)The guy didn't hesitate at all or sound insincere with his story (by the way, it is no one famous).

Take it for what it's worth, which could be nothing....then again...

I'm just after finding out on another website that ac/dc's new album is gonna be called "Strap it on". This could be a load of crap but i'm not sure.

Strap it On is crap. That was posted a few years back and seems to be resurfacing again. The guy who started that also had the names of the song that were supposedly supposed to be on that album...

I think the "Down and Dirty" rumor comes from the same "Strap it On" one. Here is the supposed album title and songlist that was posted over 2 years ago. One of the songs is called "Down and Dirty". I highly doubt AC/DC would have had the album name and songlist for the album completed over 2 years ago and still haven't released it. Never know, but seems unlikely.

The new AC/DC album is going to be called, STRAP IT ON.

No offence towards Mike, but I think the rumour is 100% B.S. and as for the title being "Strap It On", I'll deliver a case of beer to everyone on this forum if they actually call it that. There's no-frickin'-way. The name of the band is AC/DC, not Spinal Tap!!

Also, Phil Rudd is the drummer for AC/DC, not Simon Wright. I think someone is having fun with us.

I validated the rumor as just that, with a little validity to it, and prefaced it by saying to take it for what it's worth.

Of course we all know Phil Rudd is the current drummer, but Simon Wright still has connections with the band since he was also a drummer for the band.

Well i don't see why they should.
Simon wright isn't even in the band anymore so why should he be the one making decisions?

I don't care about all these rumors. I just know that this new album will be so kick @$$! I also heard that it is gonna be called monsters in moscow or bedlam in belgium

for peets sake brian was just on rockline didnt you guys listen to him they dont even have any songs complete yet. He said they just ran through some, so how could they have names or even a album name picked out yet. Let this thread die please.
