Whats the best AC/DC Tribute band you've seen or heard (youtube, etc...)

Any cool tribute bands website?

Check out: http://www.100percentangus.com

Yes, that is my band. I play the part of Angus... I have a lot of fun and it's very humbling to see the crowd that really love AC/DC so much and miss hearing anything new from them. I'm just a fan myself. I enjoy playing the part of Angus. He's an amazing guitar player and I've learned a bunch since studying his licks.

Cheers to all,

Bangus

Momentarily I-m impressed with Italian tribute band AB/CD. This cover band is good on songs from Brian era, like Hells Bells or Back in Black (live on youtube) :)

Pete, I like Hayseed Dixie too... Heck, I live in Kentucky so bluegrass music is very close to me. I love the little bell at the beginning of Hells Bells... I crack up everytime I hear that, lol.

I will have to see Hayseed Dixie next time they play here definately. Their album has me crying laughing, I think it is so brilliantly done.

Can I just ask.. Any reason why "Problem Child" is featured on both "Dirty Deeds.." and "Let There Be Rock"?

There was a tribute band that played near me the other month, forgot to go though :(

Hey Pete... I would say it was added for filler... AC/DC did that on several albums. If there wasn't enough material or material they didn't feel was worthy, they'd pick out a tune they already recorded on a previous record and put it on there.

We've been doing the AC/DC Tribute for just over 3 years...
We started out in 2000 playing the lame Nu Metal crap like Disturbed, Godsmack, Puddle of Mud and Korn... That stuff just got really old to me. The sound was way too heavy and there was no feeling in it. I hated it... I started noticing that everytime we would throw in an AC/DC song like "Back In Black" or "R&R Aint Noise Pollution", people would go crazy... We got way more resonse from that. So, we slowly started throwing in more and more AC/DC tunes... Before you knew it, we had 3 hours of AC/DC worked up, lol... It opened a lot of doors for us.

We're now also doing a Van Halen tribute as well and selling it as a package deal. We're hoping to put a Judas Priest tribute in later and bill it as "A Tribute To The Monsters Of Rock". We're going to debut the Van Halen along with the AC/DC this weekend at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee for the Phi Kappa Psi (I think thats right) fraternity.

Can I just clear something up....Problem Child was not used as a "filler" on Let there be rock. On the original Let there Be Rock album there was a track called Crabsbody Blues, it was as the name implies a song about getting crabs ! However, it was removed from the album....dont know why, and replaced with problem Child.I still have the original Let there be rock vinyl album, dont know if you can get it on cd.

Not saying we're the best, we've got a long way to go (to the top, if you wanna rock n roll LOL) but we are all kids (ages 13). We LOVE playing AC/DC and have heard many AC/DC tribute bands. Everyone out there is good, and brings their own thing to the table. Please check us out and leave your comments!
