While Angus never played a wrong note that I have heard, he is only a meat and potatos guitarists. Plays okay but not great. I understand having favorites and I have mine. bbut how about a dose of reality here?! Nearly all listed on this page are one dimensional guitarists and are ony respectable. Jimmy Page is a major laugh. Plays better acoustic then anything and in fact is his number one personal instrument, when he is sober enough to play at all. There are so many obvious names left out here that as usual it is beyond disgusting. In short guys, get a life!!!

I will make one correction to me previous commens and say that Hendrix was unfortunately not around in the information age as they are now to be seen live like most current guitarists and therefore is not fairly rated. He was somewhere beyond his time in playability and was an incredible LIVE player. Try checking out Reeves Gabrels who played Guitar for Bowie in the 90's. Whhile I do not necessarily care for Mr. Bowie, he toured with one incredible guitarists. Just to name one, and there are so,so many more.

Obviously more than 5 but each have great guitar abilities whether its riffs or shredding, those are just my favs anyway
