I was just wondering why AC/DC's Flick of the Switch album was considered a failure. FOTS is one of my favorite albums, it rocks harder than any other AC/DC album, and the lyrics for all songs on FOTS are better than most other AC/DC albums. In my opinion, FOTS is the most consistant album that they have. It rocks hard from start to finish.Don't get me wrong, cause I like All of their albums but FOTS seems to be their best. Brian sounds amazing on this album.

To me FOTS is not considered as a failure. It's not my favorite album anyway i listen it from time to time. You said for you is the best AC/DC album. OK, it's your oppinion. I myself like more their earlyier albums where they are playin' more pure boogie stuffs. I belive you are a little bit younger than 30, i'm i right?
Have a nice day and salute you!

P.S.:I'm listenin' Flick Of The Switch right now. I put a guilt to you!

No, I am 39 and have been listening to AC/DC since 1979. I know everyone has their own opinion, and I respect that. I was just saying that its my opinion that FOTS should be consider one of their better albums and I didn't know a reason that it didn't sell a lot more albums. I also like Powerage album, I think that maybe their best song came from that album (Sin City), and also some of the best guitar from Angus and Malcolm on various songs.

Though not one of my fav DC albums, FOTS is raw and good album with Brian in his top shape. Here are (after my opinion) some of possible reasons, why FOTS was considered as a failure: first, no one great hit song; second, after longer series of the great albums people (generally) became simply more pretentiouse; and third: perhaps too much repeating to the same prescriptions in music style. Anyway I agree that is FOTS underated. The most brutal, raw and savage DC album (atleast for me)is Let There Be Rock, the all times classic masterpiece, wich is also underated.

P.S.:
I found this intersting promo clip on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch...

I personally love the power chords and the slow rythem but clever grove of nervous shakedown.
It is classic ac/dc.
Flick of the switch, This house is on fire, Badlands are pretty good too in my opinion.
I salute you, friends.

I agree with RE3TYRANT, i'm also 39 and been listening to DC since my teen yrs, FOTS has to be my fave album as well, definetly the rawest album with Brian. I guess this album was just wayy to hard and raw as far as having a radio "hit" back then, not too "comercial" for the masses i guess.
Cant believe it has been almost 26yrs since that release, i still crank that cd and keeps on sounding harder than most bands today.

That about way to hard and rawest album to the radio is perhaps close to the truth. The same was probably (partely) happened with LTBR. Anyway I am 40 and I still remember well FOTS as a massive disappointment then. With the fallowed albums, FOTW, WMW and BUYW, the situation became even worse. As I sayed, FOTS is not an bad album, no, it is many good stuff on it! I just can-t understand someone which saying that is FOTS his favoure one. What then about LTBR, FTATR, BIB, HTH, Powerage, BI?

P.S.: Ozzie, thanks for yours positive energy. Salute you back!

I was just saying that FOTS is my favorite album and didn't understand why it was considered a disappointment. I like all of the AC/DC albums but when I listen to FOTS I don't want to turn it off. I can listen to that album all day and never get tired of it. I have a cd player with all of their cds in it and that's all I listen to. I go months without hearing any other band. It just turns out that FOTS happens to be the complete album that I enjoy the most.

FOTS was a disappointment. I was grown up with Brian, but nothing better than DC with Bon. Once, long time ago were two super stars... But I am with you, my friend and with every AC/DC fan everywhere and everytime. AC/DC rules. What should I say more?

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Leo

You're really on the ball today so there's no danger of anyone tricking you or fobbing you off with lame excuses. If you suspect that a loved one is hiding something from you, you'll want to question them in a lot of detail. That's all very well but try not to turn it into the third degree, nor to make them feel hounded or bullied by your desire to know what's going on.
