Sup people I was reading an article that said Phil Rudd assaulted his wife and pleaded guilty and luckily was let off. The article also said that if he had been convicted he wouldn't have been allowed back in the US. That would have screwed the tour for so many people. He also could've gotten two years in the slammer.

No, I think it could've held up the new album if he was convicted but I don't think it has anything to do with it.

From what I understand he bumped her with his chest, and put his fist in her face and threatened her. They were arguing about money after she she came to pick the kids up. Sounds like it got blown way out of proportion for him to have charges filed against him, unless there is a history of this kind of behavior from him.

Nobodys perfect! I can forgive him, he is the drummer for the greatest band of all time. It could have been worse, just look at Dave Holland of Priest. Canīt forgive things like that. Nope!

He was found guilty of attempted rape of an wheelchair bound 17 year old boy. And also guilty of several indecent assaults of a teenage boy who was taking drum lessons by Holland. This was in 2004, he is still in prison.

I met Phil once in 1990 at a BBQ on a farm next door to his home in New Zealand. He said he considered Led Zep to be the best band of all time. But that AC/DC were definatly 2nd.
Life wasn't going to well for Phil at the time. He wasn't used to not making money and was virtually bankrupt by the time he rejoined the band. I think a big reason for rejoining was the need for serious cash. His neighbour told me they had towed all his cars away.
Regarding allegedly beating his (ex)wife. Hey, it goes with the lifestyle.Drugs and booze played a big part in their lives. It wasn't the first time. It's common knowledge where he lives that he one chased her down the road in his car and tried to run her over.
She is a Kiwi girl and apparently once played netball for the national team. So...Seriously great legs!
I'm pleased to see him back in the band. It was a shame to see him going to wrack and ruin. He is definately the best drummer they had.

Regardless of what lifestyle Phil Rudd has, he has no right to assult his ex wife.
Women don't deserve to be treated like this.
But I hope Phil has got his life together and move on.
