University of Scranton battles bar it calls too close

Am I the only person who thinks that having such a fun-sounding (in my opinion) bar within walking distance of a college campus is a good thing? Maybe less DUI's? I personally would LOVE to have somewhere like this where I could walk to and have a great worry free time.

Administration is only upset that they aren't getting a piece of the action. The kids will just have more house parties or walk/drive to other bars. You watch they will soon be requiring students to live on campus so they can charge the huge bucks for living there yet say its because of neighborhood concern. It's all image and $$$$. They got ya Scranton.

Seriously, expanding the sports bar is not a big deal. Many of you mentioned that it is the house parties that are of more concern than the bars. I'm a junior at the U, and first off, students here don't have enough money to be going to the bar all the time. But for $5 you can drink all you want at a house party. So students drinking at the bar shouldnt be the main problem.
However, the University is just trying to keep the image of the school clean. Parents going to visit colleges look at the community and what type of environment their child will be living in for the next 4 years. I think the Univ. is trying to make sure that the school attracts as many parents/ students as possible.
I think the Univ. is justified in bringing the owner to court. Do I agree with it? No.
