That is absolutely disgusting that a human being could do that to a 17 month old, let alone his own daughter. I can only hope for the sake of his soul that it was an accident and he only intended to hit her, wrong as that may be. I'm sure that he had more problems below the surface and was never fit to have that child living with him.
