Hey "American", the cheap prices you enjoy at the supermarket are direct result of these 'illegals' stealing your job. Are you say then, that you'd be happy paying a corresponding market price that is supporting a minimum wage worker. The problem is you think they steal 'your' jobs, yet in fact they are taking jobs that too many lazy ass Yanks are willing to do.

As far as I'm concerned, "migrant labor" in the agricultural industry is a good thing, so long as they are "migrating" and "laboring". In other words, if you want to migrate to the US to pick crops in the summer and fall and then return to Mexico, then that's OK with me. However, if you protest in the streets while burning the American flag, or your children are in gangs, or you try to remain in the US permantently while living off of tax payer funded social program, then someone needs to kick your ass.

Mexicans watch more tv than do Americans. Ever see the Mexican novelas? Even the men sit around wasting hours every evening hooked to their televisions -- on novelas -- that's Mexican for soap operas. There are *some* Mexican who work hard but not all by a long shot. One reason Mexico itself is so backward -- open latrines for example -- because no one felt like at least building an outhouse. Even if you lack sewers and have no money for septic tanks -- it doesn't excuse even the lack of outhouses which are inexpensive and require a little work.

Well, in addition to migrant workers, there actually are a significant number of *armed* Mexicans (XV3 and MS13 gangs, drug trafficers, etc.) who cross the US border and target Americans. Some, including myself, would argue that these specific groups are actually *insurgents* and not migrants or immigrants. The US has every right and perogative to post guards and military troops at the border to identify these guys and use military force against them if neccessary. Here again, I'm referring specifically to the armed insurgents and not the typical migrant workers.
