Sports Plus closing; falls prey to home gaming

Well I work at Dave and busters and am in charge over there. When I went to Sports Plus with my kids (becuase you need to be a certain age to really enjoy Dave and Busters) the place was really run down in the arcade area only. If they had bothered to update some of there games and make the place better mabey just mabey they would have survived. Also the Ice Skating rink was ok but they still have the Rinx left. The bowling alley was awful. There was something wrong with our lane. I asked a manager to help with it. They diden't and even after I asked for help with it many many times they did nothing. I said to her well even though we are almost finished with our game I aint paying you a cent. She said well you got to or I will call the police. I said go ahead I don't care. She never did and told me and my family to just leave. So I did and never wnet back. But for all you teenagers out there who lost a place to hang out. All I can say is your not old enough to come to Dave and Busters yet. Just a few more years and you can come chill with us!

im 15 and went ice skating there every friday. it sucks im losing friends cause theres no where to go for all of us to get together anymore. i want it back now

Don't be such a wuss. Hang out in an alley behind some stores with some reefer and some cheap booze.

As a former employee and advocate of the company, I can't wait for it to come to our area. I was hearing alot about it, but wasn't sure. I checked the Whole Foods site tonight and the store is listed under "Stores In Development" it will be 48,000 sq ft. smaller than most of their stores-not sure why. I sent an e-mail to a contact in one of the regional offices for more info.

Whole foods is coming to the old site of the now closed Stop and Shop Lake Grove.
In the old Loehmanns Plaza Shopping center. Think about it.

How do you know this?

according to several articles in real estate publications, whole foods will be going next to lafitness in lake grove, the old site of sports plus. Stop and Shop will become a Babies R Us.
