After my son's xbox 360 crashed after a year of use, we just bought him a Playstation 3. The reliability of this game station far exceeds the XBOX 360, which we will never by another product from. I wish we had this knowledge before buying, would have saved us around a grand between the two game consoles, and the controllers, games etc.

Wow...that's quite a loss there. Should have done like most and simply returned the unit for replacement. The new units rarely, if ever get the RROD. Have fun with your PS3 though. I'm no console hater but I must say, the selection of games for the 360 are of a much higher quality that's for sure. However, I'm sure you'll discover this for yourself the more you play the PS3.
