Playing PS2 Games online with the PS3

Has anyone tried WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2007 for the ps2 online on the ps3? I only works very rarely when I play it just wondering if theres a way to make it more stable?

I phoned ps helpline. FIFA 07 is NOT compatible with ps3 network. The only thing i can suggest is, and i hate to say it but trade in ur FIFA 07 and get PE6 u can go online with that till FIFA 08 comes out next month

Go to your Playstation Store, under the Playstation Network.Then go to View All. It will let you browse by letter, go to P. Scroll through there until you get to one called PS2 system data. Download that and your PS3 will play let you play PS2 games perfectly.

go to settings and go to network options then set it to wired connection note: you need ethernet

Too bad I have done that and it will still not play ps2 games. Any other ideas

abe is here to help.pass this info throughtout the intire web.go to game in your ps3 menu.click game menu,go to memory card utility after youve transfered your ps2 data onto the
ps3.the way it is setup.the ps3 creates a internal
ps2 memory card.thats where you copy your data to.after youve copied your data over.ooh one thing,the system can only read 8mb cards.back out to where you see the internal memory card that
youve transfered your data to and hit triangle.what you wanna do is asign it slot 1 for your first memory card setup.it should then save your input.know start your ps2 game on your sp3 system.it should know detect your internal memory card.go online with your game.its then going to
give you the cant go online message.but it also gives you the option to edit or setup your network
onto the internal memory that youve created.ethernet option is the only option you get.for wireless users,the setup is the same way.select ethernet the auto all the way through.it will the save to internal card.ooh make sure you have your network setup on the ps3 menu aswell.

ps.Sony didnt even know this info.she told me i needed disk which i have but is scuffed up.i figured out on my own.

I have ghost recon jungle storm and it tells me no network adapter found, but if i play bf2 it works fine. i have downloaded the ps2 software from the ps3 store. i think some games just wont play online.. I have called sony and ubi and they dont know s@*&!!!!!!!

ya i have the same prob as RTA. plus when i go on PS2 mode my flashing wireless lights turn off. WTF, Sir?

Yeah I'm having the same problems trying to play RTA as well, and I can't find anything to fix it anywhere. I downloaded the PS2 patch , it installed, but still finds no hardware when i try to connect.

that would be an internet error so check the connection and try again
