A good one does! I think it's great a 5 year old does "chores" and learns to save money. I don't think it's too young to teach the kid about the value of money. it's sad someone stole it, but I bet he put more value on it where he bought it himself instead of it being just one in a pile of unappreciated toys.

enough and how to spend

To the person who said "One Clinton is enough", look no further than the current president as proof of needing to elect a leader and not a name. to the person who said chelmford people should spend their $300 refunds on bus fees, that might work if you can assure them that they'll be getting a similar refund every year, because once fees come, they don't go away. Otherwise, the solution is for SCs to work within their budget and not double tax people (remember you get taxed on fees, which in themselves are a tax)

It is one thing to teach a child the value of money, but with that lesson should also be responsibility in taking care of things and being aware of your surroundings.
All electronics are "candy" that "mean" folks will grab when given the chance. After all, look what happened to that guy at the Pollard Memorial library in Lowell and it sounded like his iPod was stolen even when he thought it was "protected" on his person (then has his laptop stolen). You even have people stealing materials from the library itself! Society is very sad today and parents need to teach their kids to be aware.
What angers me is parents who bring their kids to a library and think it is safe and leave their children unattended. Not only can it be disruptive to other patrons of the library when children run amok, but we've heard the horror stories. I have a family member who works at a library and they are horrified daily at the disregard of some parents.

I cannot believe the caller that is defending the 22 year old ADULT that exposed himself to women in Billerica. He's not a boy, he's a man. You need to educate yourself. This type of behavior escalates into more dangerous sexual behavior as time goes on. Are you kidding me? As a woman I don't want any man exposing himself to me or my young daughter. I guess we're supposed to enjoy it right??

When I was around 5 or 6 I had to save my money to get a toy that I wanted. When I finaly had the money we would go to the store and I would get it. To this day I still remember the very first thing that I bought and I still have it.

I hope that Dracut votes for all new people next Monday. These incumbents did nothing to reduce our taxes or improve services. We need new management because they cannot managed within a budget. Remove them and let them go to work for a change instead of increasing taxes, let them pay for it.

I cannot beleive that felony punishment fits the actions. Young people "do" stupid things. Being branded for life does not fit the crime. Lighten-up! Mis-demeanor--ok? A very special thank you from the students and parents of the Greenmont Avenue School to all the teachers on recess duty for taking it upon themselves to bring in brooms to sweep the winter sand away. We know you truly care about the safety of our kids.
