Looking for the name of an old Game boy game

Hello. I am looking for the name of a Game Boy or Game Boy color. It was an adventure/castle game. The most I can remember is that it used torches/candles that went out with time. Also, at first you entered a hall and solved puzzles to open other rooms, like clicking on something. There was also a puzzle with a body of water and it asked you to throw something in it.

Searching myself with the keyword "castle" does not work. Furthermore, most of the time it leads to Castlevania, which is not at all what I am looking for.

I would really appreciate if someone can recall the name. It constantly bothers me that I got stuck very early. Now at least I can read a walkthrough, game info, and probably even play it by emulation.

No it is not Zelda! There was nothing but the castle with rooms. This was definitively a point and click adventure/mystery game. I remember that there was something like a rudimentary mouse cursor in the game, in that you could point to items or objects on the screen.

I hope I can remember small details that will set someone's memory. I remember I could set the entrance rug on fire with a torch.

hello.. i need help too. i couldn't remember the name of a gameboy game(black & white not color.. the oldest one with the gray case). it was kinda like tetris game except that it has a spaceship at the bottom of the screen pointing the gun at the square blocks coming toward you. the idea is to get rid of all the blocks before it hits you. anyone happen to know the name of this game??? it's not "break 'em all" either.. anyone???

I think the game you're looking for is Shadowgate classic. I was looking for the same game, and I remembered that you got a sling early on in the game, and I searched google using the keywords "gameboy" "castle" "sling", and "walkthough". Here is the walkthough I found:
