If you want to get free event/shiny pokemon from the GTS all you need to do is:
1. Go to nintendo wifi settings when you start the game.
2. Go to the connection that you are currently using then scroll down to auto obtain dns and switch to no.
3. Then edit primary dns to 96-26-172-219 save the settings.
4. Each time you long on to the gts a Pokemon will be received without having to put anything up for trade.
5. The pokemon received will be legit and are sometimes event pokemon.
6. Try it!, to get more pokemon just log off the gts and on again there will be 25 different pokemon.
7. When you get them all just switch dns to 78-42-142-113 to get more pokemon that will have perfect iv's.
PS- It works in both generations.
4th gen was all normal but 5th generatio had a problem. I got Rufflet, Archen, Solosis, Vullaby, Oshowatt, and Tirtouga as my first 6 then i got a shiny ditto. But when you get Rufflet, Archen, Solosis, Vullaby, Oshowatt, or Tirtouga they are:
Fainted
Lv. 1
No health bar aka 0/0
Special Attack, Speed, Defence, ect all 0
Know great moves
cant "heal" them in the pokemon center.
Only way to get them healthy is by using a rare candy or putting them in the PC.
