Forget maintenance, with Chavez in Charge, the hotels will fall apart in a few years. As for Venezuelan tourism, Nature and a few select beaches, and these SHOULD become target crime areas, too, making Venezuela even LESS attractive to tourism! Margarita has gotten progressively worst with Chavez in Charge. Merida, Canaima, Los Roques, Colonia Tovar and Choroni are still good, Valencia, Chichirivichi, Morrocoy, Maracay, and Caracas are getting worse and worse as far as crime and cleanliness.

Chavez might as well take the hotels, there are less and less foreign tourists. Down she goes! Thanks Chavez!
