I got the exact same offer from these scammers. I didn't know they were scammers until I found out here. Their website www.blackstonecapital.net is "parked" at godaddy. I wonder why it's parked? Because they're scammers!

They emailed me out of the blue with the exact same pitch you guys are talking about here. They want me to fly to Atlanta for a meeting. I asked them over the phone if there's any up-front fee involved and the crook just said no, there isn't. I'm glad I found this thread! Something ought to be done about these ppl. The woman's name is Susan Alman I think and I forget the other crook's name who is a man.

If you are having problems with your funding needs. Most likely it is your business models. It is not hard to raise $150K for any business model if you have a clear understanding of your market.

If some people working at a or several genuine venture capital companies sometimes read posts in this forum, I think that they should know that,which is obvious: before entrepreneurs can meet them, there is a long way to walk: first the so-called official services supposed to arrange the nice meeting and do nothing, second the professional brokers - some of them serious people but not all of them -, third the crooks. The internet is full of reports of these two. Look up Anglo-American Investments and Anthony Oppenheim and Al Dubbins (Dublin).

They are cons. They use company names and real names that are close but no exact match to legit companies.(anglo-american was a favorite for a long time so you might google and get anglo-american and veritas) but it is all a scam.

At least I stuck them for lunch when i visited them and all it cost me was some time and some delta miles. but watch you wallet. they are pure con men and total liars. it gets really funny when they pull out pictures of oppenheim like a family photo album and show national geographic pictures of diamond mines in africa. that was particularly funny because they were so sloppy that they left a page number on one of them.

don't anyone waste their time. and by the way, you see all the glowing testimonial letters on here...when was the last time you heard of a phillipines guy named JOHN COMET for god's sake. John Comet (was john smith taken???) so funny

Well..first thing is first..I told John Green or anybody at that matter that we have dedicated time and money into our projects which include a retail projects for worth about USD 60 mil, a mixed use project for about USD 40 mil, both in Florida, and a cement project in Dominican Republic worth USD 200 mil. Bottom Line..WE WILL NOT PAY ANY FEES UNTIL FUNDING..
Now that said, Mr. Green has asked me to provide him with accounts for him to wire money to us in order to wire to him to get funded. I am laughing, yet another trick..an insult to my intelligence. I provided an account for him with USD $10..let's see what happens...ha ha

Is there anybody out there that can finance projects and is legit...Please do not respond to me if you even have the slightest idea that you might be able to scam money out of us. It is just NOT going to happen!! Do not waste your time and ours.

There's a fella named Al at this Blackstone Scam Center. He's the one you gotta watch out for. Also the other CROOK named Susan. They are in the Atlanta Blackstone Scam Center.

My dad was contacted by a "Todd Armstrong" who claimed to be able to raise $20 to $60 million of venture capital -- for anything, but mainly real estate. When I asked him for names, companies, etc., he became evasive -- he said he represented "a bunch of old men - very wealthy" looking for investments. Sounded like a script from a bad grifter movie. He gave an address in San Francisco, but no one by his name was in it...415 area code..
I get the impression that a lot of this stuff is happening in Internet cafes in Nigeria using Skype -- they always want you to call them back...

I received an account statement from John Green for Netti finance. I contacted Nordea Bank in Finland and this was their response:

Anymore dealings with "Susan" and "Al" at Blackstone in Atlanta? This must be one of the biggest SCAMS going on this thread from what you and I are saying about these people.

John Green is quite the scam artist. I would have to say he is very detailed but isn't detailed enough. With our experience with him it seems that he uses legit names like Llyod's of London insurance, Sputnik Group, etc. they are real but he has a team pretending. Bank Statements that doesn't look legit and I was giving the benefit of the doubt but clearly it looks like a copy paste or glue job. Speaking to John Green he doesn't have the typical accent from Finland. He sounds like the scam artist from South Africa.

Nowadays, it doesn't seem like we can trust any of these websites for business proposals and plans. I haven't bought any of these scams yet but as these criminals revise their attacks then who knows we may all be in some trouble. Good luck and I hope no one gives money for upfront fees. As a mortgage broker, fees are charged but not until the loan is done.
