I'm not just distant kin,I AM kin.Clay is my cousin.I've got a news flash for you,Doc,in case you have not been around these parts in a while, and, apparently, you haven't.Clay got what he has by SHEER HARD WORK,and against all odds which I'm not discussing with a stranger or anyone else, but, suffice it to say, against ALL odds he has made it,no one handed him anything. You're wrong to say that about him. Clay was 21 when he had the burden of the entire farm on his shoulders.Com e look at his place, look at his crops,he SHOULD have gotten that award years ago.

It's not the "farm family" thing that I took so seriously. It is someone implying that his name was mostly responsible for the award being given to him.He said "last names are everything" and "I am sure that had quite a bit to do with it." That is what I took exception with, not the family farm thing. He deserved it a long time ago.

I agree The Hubbard family well deserved their award! Clay works very hard for what he has, and would take the shirt off his bk for someone if thy needed it. Umm-it was def not the last name that got him where he is!!!!!

Doc B you have no idea what you are talking about! You have obviously been gone from this town a very long time because your knowledge of that family is zero. The last name had absolutely nothing to do with it, these are hard working christian folks who have helped countless people in this community and they deserved that honor. You need to do your homework before you start making comments like that! Your comment tells me alot about who & what your are and why you no longer live here!

Clay is a very kind person! He has an exceptional farm hand that knows what he is doing! Clay, his farmhand and Karen make a great team. No wonder they were named farm family!

I though there were several Hubbard children. How did Clay get the farm? Didn't his siblings get a share of the farm??The previous posts say April 06. If it happened way back then, why was it brought up again? Did they get the same award again this 2008?

It was brought up because the OP had not seen the article about the award until then.
Clay's mother left the farm in his care.I don't know anything about the division of it,but he's the only one that has taken care of it all these years so I assume it belongs to him.
