I found it's useful to be on the Recall notification email list. Go to USDA Food and Safety Inspection Service and sign up to receive their regular alerts. I was alerted about the Hot Pockets on August 21,2008 which is 5 days earlier than this article was posted.I also knew about the Fred Meyer beef recall about a week before the news aired it as well.Com es in handy if you don't want to get deathly ill or worse due to our media's slow response!
