Stae AG says: Same Gender Marriages Legal in Connecticut Oct. 28

Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, whose office represented the state in the case, said the decision, which takes effect Oct. 28, "must be respected" and cannot be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court because it was based on the state constitution.

"My office is reviewing the decision to determine whether any further action is necessary to conform our laws and procedures to the state Supreme Court's ruling," he said.

Woohoo!!! I have a friend here at the University of North Texas who said she would support gay marriage if five states enacted it, as it would mean that it is something that isn't wrong. Her logic, not mine...but it means we are that much closer to equality for all!

This is awesome.

Now my trans brothers and sisters can marry without worry of losing more marriage rights.
