Exactly where were any bribes offered or accepted? Right. they weren't, and the article clearly states that no laws have been broken, there are not even any accusations of lawbreaking, but a couple of opinions make it all wrong.
Her pay is the bribe Patty & just because it is not against the law does not make it right, good or moral. I wanna see you write,"oh I never thought of that".

All of these Dodd episodes show us the need for term limits. These "career politicians" have never worked a day in their lives. They lie and cheat and just take care of themselves.

Term Limits and shut down the really Leftist blogs like My Left Nutmeg or they should make all blogs take opposing viewpoints like they make political campaigns do and enforce it by law.

Such poor "reporting." I cannot believe you are paid to compose such nonsense.
Have any of you ever had a conversation with Jackie Clegg Dodd? Her intelligence is sincerely astounding. She is more than qualified, and was working in the government sector long before she ever met Chris Dodd.
This article is utter garbage.
I guess a reasonable explanation for self indulgence at the expense of constitutents/others while walking the fine line of legal appropriateness is: if one is an astoundingly intelligent individual who has worked for many years in the government sector, then it's okay.

The big problem is that while the Dodd family has kept the wheel going for access to Lobbyists/special interests for their own personal gain, on the taxpayers' dime, major issues at the local, state and federal level have not been and will never be a priority.

The Countrywide issue is the tip of the iceberg. I think citizens are fed up!

Being paid for "counsel" or "director" in the same sphere of a spouse's influence is not a job. It is an indirect "goodwill" payment-that is, corruption, pure and simple. If the "appointments" came after Ms. Clegg became affiliated with Mr. Dodd, the appointments should be subject to (payment for influence) issues.

Check the ROI of senators and legislators. It will far surpass the averages. That statistical deviation reveals the truth-another "indirect payment"?

And what about the laws for "speaking fees" "foundations" and "campaign funds"???

Go after it Attorney Generals!

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Pisces

Having to bow down to convention or limitations is enough to make you want to scream right now, and you'll do your utmost to rebel in any way you can. Be careful about this because you could easily get on the wrong side of someone who has power or authority over you. It feels as though you're battling with forces that want to keep you under control, and you don't like it one bit.
