My children don't get SS money (their father had 4 other children from a previous marriage and she had a good lawyer) and my education is completely paid for via a pell grant under displaced homemakers. I am currently in school for nursing.
So, the taxpayers are paying your tuition?

We'll it's either have help with tuition or fall back completely on welfare and drain the system further. I think 2 years or tuition assistance beats out many, many years on welfare working for minimum wage.

Your reasoning sucks. I have my own kid's college to pay for, why should I pay yours? A lot of young people work their way through college or get student loans. What makes you think you are entitled to have the taxpayers pick up your tuition tab? That's one thing that's wrong with this country, too many people feel they are entitled to what other people work for.

The Pell Grant is there for a reason. I, my husband and my family have paid plenty of taxes over the years. And it's automatically granted to low income students via FAFSA. Take it up with them. You don't have a choice to opt out of it if the form qualifies you. I was more than willing to take out my loans, but my income and situation qualified me for other things rather than loans to make the situation worse in the long run. I am working as well so unless you are here you have no right to assess the situation and know what is going on or how it works. Take that up when you vote. The options were bleak, go to school and work both full time to get a better life, or go on welfare and work part time for minimum wage and never let things get better. I hope your kids never have to go through what I am going through, because I see you as a cold unfeeling person who has no thoughts for what was going on before the situation happened.

This is what everyone on welfare should be doing. Kudos and high fives to you. Don't let these goof balls of hate knock you down, Anna. If you weren't using limited government funds, they probably wouldn't even put a penny in your cup if they passed you by.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Scorpio

You're in the mood to spend money on a favourite hobby or pastime today, so take care if you're supposed to making every penny count at the moment. The temptation to treat yourself to something that you'll undoubtedly enjoy will be too strong to resist, and the trouble is that you might not restrict yourself to just one item either. It looks like being an extravagant day!
