JohnInLa wrote: <quoted text>Attention moron cow patty!!! Brilliant? It took a USSC ruling to tell the lord marshal b. h. obama it was a TAX. That's after the lord marshal swore up and down in many interviews it was not a TAX. Your poll is a bounce off the ruling's face value. Once the word TAX sinks in, the American people will view it all through their wallets along with the rest of the pathetic economy and vote accordingly. Now run along peewee and GFY. The Court held that the AIA (Anti Injunction Act) does not bar the challenge to the individual mandate because the mandate is not a “tax” within the meaning of the AIA. But if the individual mandate is only constitutional as an exercise of Congress’s taxing power, then how can that be? The short answer is that – at least after today’s opinion – courts apply a different test to determine whether a law constitutes a tax for constitutional purposes (i.e., the taxing power) than they do to determine whether the same law constitutes a tax for statutory jurisdiction purposes (i.e., the AIA). The constitutional test looks not to the label on the law, but instead to the way that the law functions. The test under the AIA, however, looks to whether Congress intended for the law to function as a tax. No, it's not a tax, only Fox says the Court ruled the Mandate a Tax, but we know Fox is immune to the truth. Fox News and the entire Republican delegation in Congress are claiming this is a tax and are making fools of their supporters who are also insisting the Mandate is a Tax, How is it the Republicans Members of Congress who help created the Anti Injunction Act do not know the Law? You have been played like a Fool suggesting the mandate is a Tax. If it were a Tax the Anti Injunction Act would have prevented the Court from even hearing the Suit Oral Arguments, no less rendering any decision before the collection of the Tax.

It does no such thing, the writing of the bill is simple and easy to digest. It's not a tax, and there are no taxes imposed on Families. There are however,Excises Taxes, which are taxes paid when purchases are made on a specific good, such as whirlpools and spa, and other devices purchased with a physician prescription, which are deductible on income tax filings, cigarettes, and now health care insurance companies have to pay taxes on earnings. But the biggest Tax issue with the ACA is now employers who provide a health care can get a tax credit for 35% of the cost of providing coverage to their employees. That's not even close to what the SCOTUS Said, you did not read any of the Opinion, nothing you've stated was close to being part of the Roberts opinion. Here's the opinion, http://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/11pdf/11... Get familiar with it if you want to discuss it, you are repeating abbreviated version you heard on Fox. The Mandate is Legal simply because it take on the "Characteristic" of a Tax and, because Congress has Taxing Authority the Mandate is Constitutional, this is what the Supreme Court Said. Under the Commerce Clause, Congress did not have the authority to make citizen participate in market activities. Nor, could congress withdraw existing funding for programs but Congress could withhold additional funding for new programs. Those were the significant portions of the opinion. Roberts, around the edges pulled in some of the reigns of federal authority using the Commerce Clause. But the typical republicans could care less as they all hate the Constitution and equally hate the Federal Government since the Civil War, the Same fight is on going and these issues have long ago been settled. The Same States are lining up to refuse to implement the programs in those Southern States, but we've been through this before. If the States refuse to implement the program, the Federal Government will go into those States and set up those exchanged and implement the program as easy as sending in the Troops to Arkansas to open Public Schools to Minorities, and Alabama to ensure access to Alabama universities for Minorities. It's simple matter that as a nation we have proven to the South.

Ok, I see, you guys met in front of the television to catch up on something that can rally the base for the uncoming election and decided on Obama imposed a big tax on America...... ROFLMAO The only individuals who could think it's a tax are illiterates, and those incapable of formulating their own opinions. This is another exercise in group thinking. The Court never stated the Mandate was a Tax, there is no passage in the written opinion stating the Mandate is a Tax, the only place that had determined the Mandate was a Tax is on Fox News..... ROFLMAO As with the early strategy, Lying, deceit and misrepresenting facts is the strategy of the Right. Same campaign as run in 2008. The Party leaders are making complete fools out of the Supporters of the Right. If there were any honest intentions any where in the Right, lying would not be a major factor in their campaign strategy. Stop allowing the Right to make a mockery of you guys.

There will be a lot of whining and hang wringing from conservatives, but they will get in line and do as they're told.
I'll be nice and give them a few moments of sour grapes, but after that, shut up and let the intellectuals run things.
You can run things based on 'feelings' in your own home.
Get used to losing, too, you conservatives. We're tired of letting you make the rules.
