Wow, so now ONLY heterosexuals who are married and have natural children of that marriage should be granted PRIVILEGED STATUS.......how wonderful of this man who is against abortion for EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE except his wife, who slept with his wife and their deceased fetus and who then took that fetus home for his children to hold, so that they would know that their brother was a real person........how frucking sick is that?

ROFL, what is with some of these antigay people? Now "fedupwiththemess" has said something unaccountably kind about gays. I'm troubled by the latter portion of his/her comment, however. On what *basis* is there this continued insistence that gay people should be "invisible" to children? I think that every rule to which heterosexuals would be held is perfectly acceptable where gay people are concerned -- nor should someone like "fedupwiththemess" feel a need to clarify endless that he/she is being fair-minded -- but it COMES OFF as if people are segregating "the bad gays," which of course only leads to problems.

True, kids don't need to know about sex at all. But beware equating gays WITH sex, which is as offensive as telling a black person they're stupid or lazy. EVERYONE is multifaceted.

No, its not a disease. I said nothing about being gay. I said gay marriage. Folks being gay has no effect on children, however gay marriage does.

Fedup....I can't believe I heard it from you!!! Yes, we are good, loving people...and there are not so good homosexuals. Just like heterosexuals. We are just people, as diverse as any others. Our orientation has nothing to to with the kind of people we are. In the hands of one of our skilled homosexual surgeons (of course, you as a patient would never know this fact) you have the best chance of recovery anywhere. It does my heart good to see you recognize this fact.

BTW There is no wrong idea to get from seeing couples together. Our grandsons love us both. There is no confusion. They have a daddy, a bapa, a granpa, danty, grama-grama (that's me), grama Sharon, G-ma, Granny D, hosts of great Aunties and Uncles and cousins. One cousin has just one arm due to cancer. They take all this as normal, and bask and grow in the love that is given them by all. Very lucky little boys.

Research with families shows the exact opposite of what you're "figured" here - kids need to see loving people as much as possible. Whether those loving people are same gender or not doesn't make a difference. For a specific example, see here:
