When both sides decide to stop playing politics, for the sake of each's party, we might actually get something positive accomplished. Are both sides dividing this country, or have we as a people become so gullible to believe what each side espouses to their constituency?
Gas prices rising? Two answers to that one;
1 - ethanol, which is 10% of our gas, is in distress due to a barren climate this year wiping out over 40% of the corn crops nationwide. So food, as well as gas will go up.
2 - major Chevron petroleum site exploded in CA, the largest refinery in the west coast. Oil speculators are in fact the entity driving fuel prices up.
Next, neither side wants to actually pass a budget - this will automatically trigger a 1.5 trillion dollar in cuts next year - 750 billion in defense alone, so why don't both sides get off their collective asses and look out for the American people?

Great news for McCaskill - she even contributed to Todd's campaign !!!!!!!

It was Pelosi and Obama who smuggly told Boehner and McConnell, after the 2008 elections, that elections have consequences and they were going to do what they damn well pleased.
What the Democrats did, over the objection of the Republicans and against the will of the people, was to implement Marxist policies that have further weakened our economy and put us in an almost insurmountable debt. The played every dirty trick in the book to get their agenda through, even blatantly buying off votes. You remember the Cornhusker kickback and the Louisiana purchase, don't you?
And after the Democrats suffered an astounding defeat in the 2010 elections, they still aren't listening. Republicans in the House have passed 30 jobs bills that are sitting on Harry Reid's desk because he refuses to bring them to the Senate floor for discussion and a vote. Does that sound very democratic to you?
And it's the Democrats who are threatening the financial armageddon next January by refusing to extend the tax rates for every taxpayer in the country only because they want to wage a class war against the very wealthy. It's nothing but petty politics but at a very high risk of crashing our very fragile economy.
We know which side is playing petty politics. Don't blame both parties when only one is guilty.
The far left liberals have taken over the Democrat party and moved it far away from what the people of America want. They left us. They caused the divide and are continuing the division by refusing to move back toward the center from their extremist policies.
The Democrat party of today sure as hell ain't the Democrat party of your parents who championed hard work and independence. Today it's all about growing the size and scope of government and in creating a nation of weak people completely dependent upon government handouts for their existence.
Ethanol is not economically viable. If not for massive infusions of taxpayer money, it would have failed long, long ago.
Gas prices are rising also because we don't have enough refinery capacity. Why not? Because the far left environmentalist wackos were successful in getting regulations passed that prevent any new refineries from being built. We can blame the Democrats for that. Hell, Obama openly admitted that he wanted to kill the coal industry too.
And while Obama cancelled many leases to drill our own oil, and stopped production in our gulf after the oil rig disaster, he gave billions to Brazil so they could drill oil off of their coast. Obama also killed the Keystone pipeline costing us tens of thousands of jobs and future energy independence from the middle east. Again, that's Democrats doing that, not Republicans.
That's bullshit! Republicans in the House have passed budget after budget after budget. They also passed a constitutional amendment to require a balanced budget. All of them have been killed in the Senate by Harry Reid who will not bring them up for a vote.
Anyone who is not deaf, dumb and blind, or completely brainbdead, knows exactly where the problems are in our government - in the Senate and White House, both controlled by Democrats.
We must vote them out or our country will be utterly destroyed.

To argue with you would be fruitless. You are obviously entrenched in your views.
A little history for you - did you know the "Model T" from Ford initially ran on....... ETHANOL! Yes, it was actually derived from peanut oil.
But who stopped this right in its tracks?
Rockefeller, owner of "Standard Oil", helped write the Prohibition legislation that not only stopped liquor for human consumption, but ALL ALCOHOL PRODUCTION - INCLUDING ETHANOL!
"If not for the greed of John D. Rockefeller, cars would
run on alcohol today.
Most people are not aware that Henry Ford's Model T came in a variation
that allowed the driver to switch the carburetor to run the engine on
farm-made ethyl alcohol. This allowed the operator to stop at local farms
(equipped with stills) to refuel his/her car during long trips through the
backcountry. After all- the gas station wasn't exactly as ubiquitous in
those days, as it is now. The Standard Oil Company and its
industrialist-founder John D. Rockefeller wasn't too happy with this
arrangement. After all, Rockefeller's company had a virtual monopoly on
gasoline at this time in our nation's development.
Since the late 1800's there had been a growing Alcohol Temperance Movement
developing among reformers. Rockefeller saw an opportunity in this. It is
well-documented that local efforts to curb alcohol consumption were
expanded to the national level when high-profile figures like Rockefeller
joined in the anti-alcohol efforts. Was he so concerned with the social
problems that abuse of alcohol was said to cause?
No... John D. Rockefeller was not concerned with family dynamics in the
working classes. But he was influential in changing the goals of the
movement from temperance to prohibition. He gave the equivalent of $60
million in today's dollars to an obscure group pushing for prohibition
called the Women's Christian Temperance Union. As we know, his
contribution to the outlawing of the production and sale of alcohol was
successful. Of course, Rockefeller and the oil companies reaped tremendous
profits as a result. Remember that the period covered by the 18th
Amendment (1919-1933) coincided with the huge rise in the sale and
operation of automobiles. America was on the move, and all of these cars
were now operated solely on gasoline. By the time that the 21st Amendment
was passed, ending the prohibition of alcohol, the standard was already
set and worked completely in the favor of the Rockefeller family."
I could rip every single part of your post to shreds, with facts and verifying links, but without an open mind, it would be useless. Should you wish to engage in an intellectual debate, I'm open for opposing points of views. As I would hope you would be also, but from your post, that does not seem to be the case.

Attention tony the turd!!! You sound like you're running your motor mouth on alcohol...Is it your first beer?
Your argument ethanol vs crude oil is without merit other than feel-good...and you forgot all about the government regulations that you vote for.
The fact today is corn fuels people and products and the supply is low due to drought so what's the sense in putting corn in a gas tank when it's not necessary and people need it for more important things? Because of the water content of ethanol/gasoline it won't store and screws up the fuel system, etc. Yeah I know you can use other sources for ethanol production but at this point that's irrelevant.
Furthermore fuel is not the problem with cars today it's all the EPA garbage underneath the hood...miles of wires and wasted energy and resources to produce mountains of silly gizmos and expensive gadgets that eventually rot in a junk yard...Certainly no Model-T simplicity, certainly won‘t run for 100 plus years…drink to that.

I'm entrenched in the facts and can easily spot the liberal bullshit talking points you've been spewing. The next logical step (which I took) was to debunk that bullshit and expose it for what it is.
It's quite telling that you openly admit arguing with the facts I posted would be fruitless. When will you take the next step and embrace those facts?
Yeah, and we used to use steam engines before the internal combustion engine was perfected. We moved away from using ethanol for the same reason we moved away from the steam engine - technological advancement.
Ethanol is not alchohol. Besides, the prohibition of alcohol only lasted a few years.
The reason why cars don't run on ethanol or alcohol today is purely economical. It costs much more money than gasoline.
ROFLMAO! Yeah, right. You can't beat the facts my friend. Your sabre rattling and bullshit spewing amount to nothing.
You're not open for debate. You tucked tail and ran away from the facts I posted, not addressing even a single one.
You're only interested in spewing your left wing bullshit that has no basis in reality.
