Last year, they created the most jobs since 2005.
American manufacturers are hiring again, creating jobs for the first time since the late 1990s.
Together, we’ve agreed to cut the deficit by more than $2 trillion. And we’ve put in place new rules to hold Wall Street accountable, so a crisis like this never happens again.
The state of our union is getting stronger, and we’ve come too far to turn back now.
As long as I’m president, I will work with anyone in this chamber to build on this momentum. But I intend to fight obstruction with action, and I will oppose any effort to return to the very same policies that brought on this economic crisis in the first place.
facts are facts,
thank you Mr president.

You would sure think with all those great "facts" and results you boast of that the whole country would be re-electing this guy in a Reagan style landslide come November. Instead, the reality doesn't square with your interpretation of his accomplishments because he is going to lose and lose big. I wonder why? Hummmm...?

The funny thing about loud mouths like you "boi" is that when I am proven right in November, you will disappear. Obama is going to lose, it will be historic because the democrats will control nothing in Washington DC, and they will be find their mouths full of Tea Party nut sacks. It is going to astonish you how rejected your party is going to be and you have but a handful of folks to thank and give credit too. Barack, Joe, Nancy, and Harry are on the short list. Then their idiot, parrot followers like yourself close in tow.

is that the same poll that intentionally polls MORE Dems than any other demographic?
all pols lie, some way more than others. those with the most to hide or deny, lie the MOST.
listen to Rev Wright's iterview, just out...
then re-think ur support with a 'clean' mind.
it's NOT just the Rs and Ds, IT'S THE GOVERNMENT, period.
the Govt is worse than any loanshark as the repayment is body, mind and soul instead of just money.
no TRUE American desires Govt 'assistance'.
do u realize just how LITTLE one must think of themself and THEIR abilities to provide for themselves and their families? being poor and under-educated used to be just a hurdle to overcome. during the past 50 yrs it has become a WAY OF LIFE for far too many of us.
do u think generational impoverishment JUST happened?
do u think unions overtaking government jobs while losing them in the private sector JUST happened?
the same with corporations 'buying' pols?
like the Europe our forefathers and mothers FLED in the 1600 and 1700 and 1800's, WE are becoming a nation of two classes: the Ruled and the Rulers. the more we support Big Govt, the more chains we wrap around ourselves.
maybe u need to change ur Topix name to TOBY voluntarily since u like chains so much?

Q: But don't you believe that the threat that bin Laden posed won't truly be eliminated until he is found either dead or alive?

BUSH: Well, as I say, we haven't heard much from him. And I wouldn't necessarily say he's at the center of any command structure. And, again, I don't know where he is. I -- I'll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him. I know he is on the run. I was concerned about him, when he had taken over a country. I was concerned about the fact that he was basically running Afghanistan and calling the shots for the Taliban.

WTF.

is it any wonder that, after ALL of the people O has thrown under the Progressive bus, now so many of his 'former' quasi-friends and supporters are NOW turning ON him?
rmember how in 2008 EVERYTHING was the sitting Admin's fault?
well, guess who's sitting in the hot seat THIS election?
fool the American voter once, shame on u; fool them twice and Game Over for a once great Nation and People.
question: the People had enough Common Sense to reject Socialism in '80; do they have ENOUGH left to reject Progressive Marxism in '12?
we shall see...

To bad the election isn't being held today and that a poll is what would decide it. The problem with that celebrating is they are irrelevant. There is only one poll that will matter and that is the one we take on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November "boi", and that one is going to send your failed president packing. I would compare it to the gay marriage "polls". It seems a majority is for gay marriage until the issue is actually on the ballot for a vote, and then it goes down to defeat. Thirty two of our states have confirmed that they are not for gay marriage being equal to hetero marriage. The only states that have passed it did so by court order by a liberal judge. That does not and will never reflect the will of the people. Enjoy your tainted and meaningless poll victories for now. November will confirm how correct I am.

Seattle Slew is a angry and frustrated, retired government worker that used to use the moniker "expert". The only real satisfaction he gets in his retirement is posturing himself as some kind of liberal genius that enjoys hating on anyone with a conservative opinion, and having sex with his German Shepherd.

So, what SPECIFICALLY does Romney have to offer to fix the ecomony at a faster pace?! Thats what I thought, NOTHING!! Oh yeah...cut taaaaaxes!!! Yeah, that worked real well. The only teabaggers that will benefit from Romney are the 1%....and they control the other 99% of the teabaggin' lemmings.

Goes to show that the Democrats believe in the "Democratic Process" only when it works in their favor...otherwise, the courts, protests, and/or riots are fair substitutes for democracy...the will of the electorate be damned.
Oh, I guess legislators hiding out in another state (Texas Democrats hid out in Oklahoma in 2001), abdicating their electoral responsibilities, also seems, to the Democrats, to be a rational tactic to thwart the democratic process.
there is nothing sacred about the will of any particular electorate in any particular election year. nor about even any supreme Court decision. the political process goes on and on, there will be new elections and new courts. expressing viewpoints are protected by the Constitution under the first amendment, even if you do not like it. Often words like "riots" are words used by rightwingers to attack those who stand up for individual rights and civil rights. the police rioted in Chicago in 1968, and the film showed it. the police are being trained to be even more like a part of a police-state in many places, as they were during the GOP convention in 2008.

EXCELLENT JOB Mr President!

For once we really can say ‘Mission Accomplished”! The GOP crybabies are whining about him using this event as a campaign focus, but what can you say about a clown that puts on a flight suit, lands on a carrier, and proclaims “‘Mission Accomplished”, when nothing had been done? And they want to be in charge again? What’s going to be pretend-accomplished next time?

So tell me "Baraboo WI", when is the last time you, or any average American actually saw the "Situation Room"? Let alone see it and the players involved in that decision and operation to capture and kill UBL on prime time T.V.? Or knew details about a specific Seal Team and it's Mission? Let me answer that for you, NEVER!!!!!!!!!! Thats because before this rude, arrogant, and obnoxious piece of shit became our president we elected men that had a modicum of decorum, respect, and class regardless of party. Men who protected the interests of our people and country above EVERYTHING. Had the back of our military instead of sticking a knife in it. Men who would never allow a top secret, stealth drone to fall in the hands of our enemies. I can assure you the only thing that has not confirmed what I am telling you is the passing of time to the election day. Your next president will be Mitt Romney, and you will be answering to Speaker Boehner and the new Majority Leader of the Senate, Mitch McConnell. I think everybody knows that being stuffed in the 2012's will not cause you or anyone on the left to STFU, but I can only hope that there is enough of the Tea Party influence on the republicans to actually bring about the spending reforms necessary to save the country. The only place that any creative change is taking place in politics today is in the republican party. There are actually competing factions which you don't see in the monotone democrats. The Democrats are all a bunch of America hating, socialist, group think, bully bastards that need to be crushed in the coming election. Vote republican for no other reason then to repudiate the hate and division being propagated by the extreme left, led by our own president and the democrat party!!!

no, my 'reality' is that as a Nation, after almost 50 yrs of Progressive social policies, we are pretty much f@cked.
add in the Govt's last two UN-declared wars and u can see why we have almost $16Trillion in UN-payable debt, some $9T of it jsut in the last 8 yrs!.
obviously, ur 'reality' is to give someone with 100 maxed out credit cards ANOTHER one!
with the Government being THE problem and the ENEMY, re-electing a KNOWN Big Govt zealot is national suicide. frankly, I don't care if u or any body else what's to kill urself... I DO care when u want to take me and mine with u.
now, go play ur Rs and Ds blame game with some one that buys that BS.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Capricorn

If you're feeling lonely and vulnerable, it seems as though someone is out to get you. Perhaps you're separated from the people you love and you don't like it. Try not to mope for too long, because there are important things that need your attention. Speaking of which, if you need to do something that you're dreading, you'll feel much better if you can get it out of the way quickly. If you leave it, the very thought of it will drain your energy.
