Judged: 1 1 1 There are some Religions in America who can, if we allow them our ear long enough, provide a justification for slavery along a religious test, and interracial marriage as an abomination to man kind. What's the difference in the Catholic stance and Liberty University policy against students interracial dating as a doctrine? |

Judged: 1 1 1 Hey ignorant racist, about 28 states have had similar clauses regarding charitable or educational institutions run by the RCC or other religions for years. Mormons, imo, and Muslims say it should be okay to have many wives. We don't permit unfettered "religious" freedom. The employees of these charitable and educational institutions are not RCC or other church employees. They are non profits' employees in a secular country, entitled to rational, important health care. Actual employees of the RCC and other churches really do have to go outside their employer healthcare plans to get birth control...but why they're working at such churches if they need birth control in the first place is beyond me. |

Judged: 2 1 1 Obama has waived the healthcare mandate for Muslims, Amish, Native American and McDonalds. Anyone who does not fit in this catagory should claim discrimination. |

Judged: 3 2 2 The Department of Justice, got the go ahead from Attorney General, Eric Holder to file suit against the Lutheran church. The DOJ wanted to tell the Lutheran church who their minister should be. http://cnsnews.com/blog/terence-p-jeffrey/doj... Obama is an attack on religious freedoms. NO in NOvember Reclaim the Senate in 2012. Give the new President assistance to undo ObamaCare and get this nation back on track. We don't need democrat senate domination with Harry Reid. OUT with democrat senators! |

You lie. The facts of this case were quite complex. The Supreme Court eventually ruled against the Justice Dept, I believe, but said that churches do not have unlimited scope to declare who is and who isn't a clergy person as a way to avoid legal or employment responsibilities. In this case the church had said she was a minister (who taught) until she reported became ill and could not teach._Then_ the church tried to separate from her and say she was not a minister...for purposes of sick leave or disability, etc. That's a pretty scummy church. Churches are not exempt from laws - for example, laws barring polygamy - but applying the law can get difficult when there's a gray area of teaching minister versus church employee teacher versus lay teacher versus volunteer teacher, for example. |

Judged: 1 1 1 It was simple, it was banishment to the wilderness or, off with their heads in England. Given the choice they chose the Wilderness of the New World over going Headless in England. Are you a Teabagger, seems some of you are always trying to change the accurate history of the facts. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Religious freedom is a right of PEOPLE not their corporate bosses....even if those corporate bosses work for non-profit corporations and wear magnificent gold embroidered power robes and gold crowns!! The OLD supposedly celibate bachelors and the Evangelical fundamentalist dictators, must believe that, without the force of law to restrain them, the Catholics employees at a hospital will run down and get prescriptions for birth control pills. It should NEVER be management's right, even if the managers wear vestments and gold crowns and dump their scared sperm on their bedsheets, to impose their religions dogma on their employees. |

They were being harassed by other flavors of xstainity from their own. The RC churches are exempt. Just as they have been in the many state plans like this one that have been in place for years. |
