The blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus) is a marine mammal belonging to the suborder of baleen whales (called Mysticeti). At 30 metres (98 ft) in length and 180 metric tons (200 short tons) or more in weight, it is the largest known animal to have ever existed.
Even the great aquatic reptiles during the Mesozoic were alot smaller than Big Blue.
There are speculations that a certain saurapod dinosaur *may* have outweighed the Blue Whale - however, the fossil that was found was far too small to accurately guess the size of the animal.
Personally, I think that 160 metric tonnes is an impossibility for creatures walking on land, however I would believe it if the fossil can be found to verify it.
