I don't want you paying for anything related to my health either. If I want coverage I'll buy it. If you want it, you buy it. See how that works? And if someone doesn't want or need it, they shouldn't have to buy it.

AnnAgain wrote: Mandatory insurance is nothing new, all of us have it in form or another, for instance, auto and home, some states even require fertility insurance. So why is it then that our wingnuz friends are screaming bloody murder for something that seems rather sensible! Considering the fact that, emergency rooms are mobbed by people with no insurance at a huge cost to society. As for the wingnuz resistance to birth control, it is simply ignorance; birth control is a substantial part of women's healthcare involving millions of women world wide – whether the Catholics like it or not! So is watching television. If a person can't afford to pay for health care he will get fined. That makes sense. If he gets an exemption based on his inability to pay, if they even give one, and he goes to the emergency room, society pays once again. Liberals-"Emboldening America's enemies, and terrifying her allies, since 1976." If we allow the Catholics to dictate public policy based on their doctrines, we also in fairness and equality have to allow Shari Law by the Muslims, and Jehovah Witnesses to be allowed to ban surgery, or should Christen Scientists be allowed to dictate whether there are prescription drugs? Perhaps some nut case fundamentalist sect could then declare clitoral circumcision law? This garbage being pushed by the Republicons, will take them down as it is shining a very bright light on who they really are conspiring to instill a Taliban like authority within America paralleled to the three branches of Government

And according to a poll released this week, nearly 60 percent of American Catholics believe that employer health insurance should cover contraceptives — in spite of their church’s theological opposition." Does it say on the poll that the 98% of women who used the pill decided to quit because it went against what they believed in? I know many women who used the pill not realizing what it did, most young Catholic girls who quit going to church while away at college, and priests not preaching how wrong it is. When they grow up a little they realize its wrong. You don't hear those stories on the news channels. We also need the priests to start speaking up more on Sundays. By the way, maybe we need a few more priests and nuns to help bring us back to what is moral. And also more Fathers and Mothers staying together and teaching morality in their households.

The SCOTUS has ruled that women have a right to birth control, and they have ruled explicitly that health coverage that doesn't include access to birth control violates their 14 Amendment right to equal protection. Meanwhile, you cannot find a case that demonstrates an official ruling that churches can flout the law on religious grounds in secular institutions and events... because there isn't one. All you have is a lot of general hot air and bloviating about the First Amendment. Which shows again that you hypocrites don't value the Constitution, unless it serves you. "Access" now equals "free of cost"? I want access to dental care. Where's my free toothbrush?

"By the way, maybe we need a few more priests and nuns to help bring us back to what is moral".
•A priest convicted of sexual misconduct in Milwaukee in 1973 was transferred to California, where he molested an 8-year-old boy, a lawsuit claims. The suit says the Milwaukee archdiocese and the Orange County diocese covered up molestations and continued to regard the Rev. Sigfried Widera "as a Catholic priest who could be trusted with minor parishioners and minor students.
•A priest who served prison time last year for trying to entice an underage boy into sex via the Internet was accused in a lawsuit filed Tuesday of molesting an altar boy at a Connecticut church in the late 1980s.
•A chaplain at a Catholic hospital in St. Louis resigned after the Illinois diocese that recommended him for the job revealed he was accused of sexually abusing a minor years earlier, the Archdiocese of St. Louis said.
•Seven men sued the Archdiocese of Louisville, claiming they were sexually abused as children by priests two decades ago or before. The men claim the archdiocese knew three priests engaged in a pattern of sexually abusing children. Cecelia Price, a spokeswoman for the archdiocese, said they had not seen the lawsuit.
What is moral?
Really?

The bottom line is the Catholic faith is based on hypocrisy. They idolize and worship the Pope, treat him like a God. He is not. There is only one God and it isn't the Pope. They smoke and drink and get drunk. They molest the children of the church. A large percentage of the priests are gay and the nuns lesbian which the Catholic church preaches against. Myself, I accept people and whatever lifestyle they chose. Who are we to judge? God made everyone. The Catholic faith is against birth control but the majority of those that practice the Catholic faith are just like ever other human being with weaknesses. They will go out and copulate with anyone they can, make more and more children for the tax payers to support. Come on Catholic church. Get off your self made pedastal. Your idea of no birth control stinks. Either accept the idea of birth control or tell your perisheners to practice self control. Especially the men of your faith because the guys have the idea that the more ladies they sleep with is another just another trophy on their shelf.
