You people can argue all you want to about whether military service is required of a Presidential canidate, or not. I feel that it is not required. I would perfer a candidate who truly understands that the last thing you want to do is put our troops in harms way. A person who will work within whatever avenues are open to mediate any conflict. Any candidate that espouses a policy of "shoot first and ask questions later" will never get my vote. If you think this makes the U.S. look weak, you are wrong. The world is looking towards the U.S. as a stabilizing member of the community. Don't you think it's time we joined the community?
Look up neville chamberlain as mediator !

I think if we dig deep enough we'll find that Chamberlin and the Messiah lose the war Obama are first cousins...they share many of the same traits...like having a big head with a yellow belly streak on them....See the Messiah thinks he's so slick because he's been conning for most of his years he thinks he is smart because of it....so he figures he can con the Iranians...and the fool he is will come home waiving a piece of paper and say see I told you so....as the Iranians launch a missle towards Iseral...just like his cousin did back in the 30's with Hitler...*LOL*
You know even their profiles look the same...*LOL*
Just wonder what part of the family Chamberlain is from the Messiah's mother or fathers side...*L*

Only people that have super egos think they are our savior and can do it all, as Obama says!

Only an amateur would think that they can 'talk' a country into doing something they are dead set against, as Iran is.

The EU has been 'talking' to Iran on the same subject for 5 long years already.

I guess only Obama thinks he has some new tricks/inducements that haven't been already tried.

it is a fact Watcher that Obama is more educated than McCain...McCain has his bottom of the barrel undergrad degree from the USNA whereas Obama has a grad degree in law. I am not saying that makes him the most intelligent person in the word...but yes likely smarter than McCain.
He retired from the Navy as a captain in 1981
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_McCain

I sincerely apologize it was I that can't read late at night -- I should have counted on my fingers instead of taking a glance at the ranks on wiki -- capt. is indeed 06 the NATO code is 05 for capt --
I apologize again for the error--

However that doesn't diminish McCain's accomplishments

That's because McCain wouldn't qualify for affrimitive action and quotas...*L*
Do you really think McCain is an uneducated fool?
And the Messiah Obama is the most intelligent person in the world?
If so pass some of that stuff your smoking this way...*LOL*
That bigot pops up again. It MUST be affirmative action that a black person gets into Harvard. And I suppose making law review was as well?

McCain either was not smart enough to get into the academy on his own or was smart enough but chose to goof off instead of work for better grades.

No one said Obama was the smartest guy in the world but he is a lot smarter than McCain, you & me.

Obama worked harder to get to where is is & didn't get spoon fed by his daddy & or his 100 million dollar wife.

To answer your question: Yes, John McCain is an uneducated fool. Yep, he knew the surge was working before the surge even started or was that the "secret surge"? Was it asgainst the Sunnis or Shia or Iran? Who cares, let just bomb 'em!

X for whatever reason it seems you have joined the camp of non thinking McCain for President no matter what dumb thing he did or does...and I am sad about that b/c it used to seem as if you were at least fair and a real thinker.
As a military guy...if you were to look at this objectively, I think you would agree it smells fishy....McCain is an Admiral's son, he gets in the USNA and does horribly...the logical objective conclusion would be that it is likely he was probably not USNA material on his own merits (this further played out when he never made it beyond 0-6 despite his "hero" status in Vietnam and his very high ranking father and grandfather connections)....look at it objectively....if you had only these facts to go on....it looks like the man used his connections yet did not have the raw material that his father had.
I am not implying that this means he would not make a good President anymore than I think it matters that Obama snorted coke in high school...I am only asking that you look at it more objectively.
No...I have not decided who I'm voting for and won't until after the conventions. Am I leaning towards McCain? Yes...especially with Obama's farce of a trip this week. He meets with the generals "on the ground" in Iraq...asks there opinion on how things are going...and then goes in front of the cameras and makes a statement like..."I've listened to the generals, but no matter what they say, if I'm Commander in Chief I'll do what I want". I also don't like him using the world as his campaign stage. Germans, French, Isrialis, Jordanians will not vote for him...AMERICANS will vote for him. I thought he was going to use this trip as a fact finding trip, not a 'grandstanding' trip...I'm disappointed.

What I am doing as far as McCain is fighting off the untruths that people throw around...just because he is a republican. Do we know he had help to get into the Naval Academy? No. So it's a mute point...

Only an idiot would compare Pearl Harbor to a made up threat in Iraq. Would compare Pearl Harbor to a threat that a country MIGHT get nuclear weapons sometimes, perhaps in the future.

I don't know, lets make up as list of these bad guys, Iran, Nory Korea, Venezuela, Russia etc & just go over & bomb the CCrap out of them. Why waste time on talking - just fry their butts. So this is the McCain way?

Just like Ronald Reagan & his predecessors did to the USSR. Or wait, we ended that crisis without firing a shot. Boy, that was real ugly there.

Just like your buddy Bush calling Obama an appeaser right before Bush APPEASED the North Koreans.

Do you ever tire of making up lies & spreading inendo. Still waiting to hear about your candidate BoB Barr - nothing good to say?

Reagan made sure we had a bigger stick to carry and unlike Obama wasn't waiting for then to laugh themselves to death with double talking diplomacy.

Deployment of pershing missles land based tomahawk missles brought them to the table etc.

Unlike the carter disaster and the kennedy blunder that resulted in him being tested in Cuba..

What do you think Iran sees when watching what OBAMA says. Easy, patsy, fool, easy AGAIN, lets start him talking so we can finish our work they say..----

5yrs of EU NONSENSE AND COUNTING!
