Did you happen to notice that 'pork' benefits were aimed at veterans. Like they are unemployed, and lack healthcare, they also lack 'tripe'. Send to war, forget about them. You must not have any disabled vet friends, or are they invisible to you too.

Please, try the freakin truth.
Obama has two terms in the Il Senate & is serving his first term in the U.S. Senate. That is more experience than a lot of our former great presidents.
Maybe you want the experience of Cheney & Rumnmy? How about the experience of Phil Graham.
Well Dave, if Rumsfeld said he was running for Prez, I'd definitely vote him! He has the experience and he always did what he had to do and he wasn't afraid to take the flack for it either!

If McCain's service and experiences aren't enough to "qualify" to be commander and chief, explain to me what "qualifies" Obama to be. What has he done???????

If that were true, it would not have been revised to take out the UNRELATED funding that WAS in the bill... and I do have disbabled friends, that would prefer to be treated as veterans that deserve to be taken care of with the political shit that dimininshes the importance of the funding. I am a Veteran and my nephew and son are both currently deployed... no need to explain the issues to me.

So, military experience makes you believable? Or just when the views happen to match yours. So&so is a hero - so&so is a traitor. This guy is great. This vet is trash because we want his seat in the House.
I honor the service of all veterans.
No. Military sevice is the most proficient way to gain a myriad of life experiences, as opposed to sitting in a hate church for twenty years believing the BS, then when it's party time, deny deny deny. On that one point alone I cannot vote for Obama. He betrayed his friend.
He is only honest when it fits his agenda. I see he is wearing his flag lapel again. I guess false patriotism isn't so bad at all.

I never said any of this. dont put words in my mouth. I said what I said. Not what you said. Play those tricks on tweedle and his brood. Dont try it on me. Much like you I am a republican looking for a home. Just like a boll weevil, I'm afraid at this critical moment in history, that obama is preparing to burn us out. Say no to charlatins.

John Sidney McCain III entered the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland in 1954. Young McCain wanted to become an admiral. He planned to be the “first son and grandson of four star admirals” to achieve such a distinction. But that was not to be. McCain III possessed none of the innate character and discipline traits that helped mold his father and grandfather into great military leaders.
His father, John S.“Junior” McCain, and grandfather, John S. McCain, Sr., were famous four-star Admirals in the U.S. Navy. His father commanded U.S. forces in Europe before becoming commander of American forces fighting in Vietnam. His grandfather commanded naval aviation at the Battle of Okinawa in 1945. Both men became highly influential in U.S. Navy operations. McCain’s grades were “marginal.” He drew so many demerits for breaking curfew and other discipline issues that he graduated fifth from the bottom of the class of 1958. Despite his low “class standing,” and no doubt because of the influence of his family of famous Admirals, McCain was leap-frogged ahead of more qualified applicants and granted a coveted slot to be trained as a navy pilot. While a pilot trainee, McCain continued to party hard. He drove a Corvette and dated an exotic dancer named “Marie the Flame of Florida.” Timberg wrote that McCain “learned to fly at Pensacola, though his performance was below par, at best good enough to get by. He liked flying, but didn’t love it.”
In 1979, while attending a military reception in Hawaii, McCain met and fell in love with Cindy Lou Hensley, 17 years his junior, who was the daughter of James W. Hensley, a wealthy Anheuser-Busch distributor from Phoenix, Arizona. McCain filed for and obtained an uncontested divorce from his wife in Florida on April 2, 1980 and promptly married Cindy on May 17, 1980.
He resigned from the Navy in 1981 and went to work for his father-in-law in Phoenix; where he used the opportunity to make powerful and wealthy friends in Arizona including banker Charles Keating and Duke Tully, the editor-in-chief of the Arizona Republic. Keating was later convicted of fraud, racketeering, and conspiracy and Tully was disgraced for concocting a phony military record of combat in Korea and Vietnam including medals for heroism.
Politics is a nasty business. McCain isnt alone in seeking out the influential in his bids. As for the hero controversy, I doubt you, me, or anyone else on this post could survive what he survived.
And he did it with more honor that most. your ranting about his bad qualities are nonsense. Once again i may point out that historically class placement at annapolis or west Point has little to do with later performance.

If not mistaken, R.E. Lee was first in his class. That did not prevent his vanity from snatching defeat from the jaws of victory at Gettysburg. In contrast, U.S. Grant was a notable underachiever and a failure in every business venture he ever tried. Until he showed his president that he was not afraid to put to use the skills he "didnt" learn at West Point to defeat what was up to his arrival on the scene, an invinceable southern army.

George Patton. not exactly a scholar, paved the way for our modern army and all the neat toys the mechanized infantry and cavalry now have. So, basically your McCain bashing is without merit.

What a pile of crap.
Barack Obama has done more for veterans than McCain has done.
McCain didn't have time to even vote on the last vet bill. I tad more important. Has John McCain voted for any of the last several veteran bills? Check it out.
McCain doesn't think the time soldierrs stay in a war zone is important.
McCain did not want to give vets better benefits.

Mr loomis ( note I didn't say capt.)

John McCain ""retired" " in 1981, big difference -- by the way he was a legitimate CAPT USN. unlike you.

'He retired from the Navy as a captain in 1981 and, moving to Arizona, entered politics.'

There is a little more to being president than war strategy. Grandpa "straight talk" McCain is not qualified. He had 20 hours of actual war experience, the rest of the time he was in a hut trying to maintain a little sanity. Hardly presidential preparation.

Hiow about obama's 20 hrs or maybe years ---

Dreams from My Father” has been widely acclaimed as an introspective and insightful read far from the anodyne campaign-oriented books politicians often produce, traits that Obama’s critics believe make it ideal for use against the candidate.

In a passage describing his high school experience in Hawaii, for example, Obama explains the allure of drugs:“I kept playing basketball, attended classes sparingly, drank beer heavily, and tried drugs enthusiastically.… If the high didn’t solve whatever it was that was getting you down,” Obama intones,“it could at least help you laugh at the world’s ongoing folly.”

Hardly presidential preparation!!!!!!!!

Lil John...the difference between young Obama and Young McCain would be that when Obama got to college...he cleaned his act up and graduated with highest honors from an Ivy League school whereas McCain graduated at the very bottom of his USNA class...now I have no proof he was doing drugs at the naval academy if he actually was sober and managed to do that poorly he might actually be dumber than Bush

You do realize it is more difficult to get into one of the military academies than into an ivy league school...

Not to mention graduate! How many Ivy League'rs would make it through just the summer camp before starting school?
