2 Look what the Democrats managed to do in two years...just imagine the damage they could do, if they controlled the White House and Congress for the next four!! |

1 I am trying to figure out how the republican vp can have a fundraiser in my area and charge $2500 to attend,$10,000 for a picture with, and $25,000 to speak with? Since the most an individual can donate to a canidate in the general election is $2300? |

Will abortion rights, or gay rights or fill-in-the-blank rights mean very much when you are unable to afford food to feed yourself or those you love? When the temperature is 95 degrees, or 10 degrees, and you have no electricity, and gas for your generator costs $12 per gallon, will you be focused on “rights” or wanting to be warmer or cooler? How will you be able to protect your children or grandchildren from the bands of thugs roaming the streets when your right to protect yourself and those you love is limited due to gun confiscation? “Capitalism, the Unknown Ideal” is a collection of essays about a philosophy of freedom. Two deal with the American monetary system. The author explains that nothing backs our currency at this time. He pointed out that sooner or later, our fiat money system would lead to disaster, and that only a currency backed by real value could prevent the inflation and collapse of our dollar. Ironically, the author of these essays was Alan Greenspan, and the book is several decades old. Even Greenspan knew that the authors of The Constitution attempted to protect us from what is unfolding today by making it illegal to use anything but silver or gold as currency. So go ahead and dismiss this post as hysterical ranting, but I guarantee that one year from now, you will remember everything you just read and know that the Marxist leaning judges Obama is sure to appoint will never allow us to return to pre-Federal Reserve currency and the freedom it provided. |

1 And I wonder why McCain does not address the fact that he used that same old line himself but, I don't remember such an issue being made about it. What a self indulging waste of whats important, unless of course they flatter themself enough to take it as a personal hit......... We the American people need to know we have a leader to lead us, not a 5 y/o who wants to whine and twist around someones words!!!!!!!!!! |

1 Gee whiz, I’m pretty sure conservatives don’t advocate beheading or stoning of anyone, much less women. They also don’t advocate denying women educations or driving privileges, or insist on burqas. Does that clear things up for you? As for nations more “progressive” than US, why not try Russia, China, Cuba, etc… as “progressive” is merely a pleasant moniker given to totalitarian regimes. You might vacation in a few “progressive” nations before deciding to live there. I suggest you start in N. Korea. |

1 I wouldn't be suprised if they did... as long as the stones and burquas weren't government funded. |

Funny how all these things just seemed to happen THIS year? Subprime loans have been used for a long time with few problems. Same for auction rate bonds - lots of government agencies have used them since the 90s without problems. Makes one wonder if someone is stirring the pot trying to tank the economy on purpose to get their candidate elected. Whose backers would benefit? Think about it. |

1 Sounds like an epic, of course if it were true. Evacuation orders were sent out, and some couldn't make it out. Guess it was Bush's fault somehow because I'm a democrat and I want points with all the feminists in class. Dems are unusually retarded in facts, because dems are REVISIONISTS due to their failures.. |

1 Bush was celebrating McCain's birthday while people were drowning in New Orleans. Fine they told people who had no means or had ridden out storms before. But as President you should curtail celebratory events while citizens are dying in huge numbers in a natural disaster. That is unless you are some type of elitist. Then you don't care what the unwashed masses think |

2 Besides, anybody who abuses their position of power to try to have fired a former brother in-law and fires a Commissioner simply because of personal vendettas and not on the basis of job merits is unethical, untrustoworthy and unfit to be a heart-beat from the highest office in the Land. |

1 Guess the Clintons who fired countless qualified oficials must be included here, oh, sorry this judgement does not apply to democrats, lets give them a 'pass' like we always do, and pretend there's no hyprocracy. |

You'll break your neck REACHING like that. Wake up and smell the coffee. This was forseeable to everyone in the mortgage industry doing "No Doc" deals...selling McMansions to people with no verifiable income. The house of cards finally fell...nobody pushed it...it collapsed of it's own weight. Stop acting surprised and get serious... we're in deep sh%t here and there's no place for the usual "no new taxes" pandering that was a lie the last time and as Greenspan himself is saying loud and clear is a lie again now. |

1 Oh please. Have you only been keeping up with current events this last year? Read some history, for crying out loud! Ponzi schemes often take a long time to implode. Really, it wouldn’t have mattered who the hell was president today as this thing has been coming on for decades and many have warned it was inevitable. If you want to blame someone, blame President Wilson, FDR, and Johnson (democrats) and Nixon (republican) and congress (republican and democrat) for setting up Federal Reserve, social security, Medicare, welfare, etc…. which are all unconstitutional and have debased our currency and destroyed our freedoms in the name of “security.” |
