Obama finally came out of the closet. Obama is a democrat and all democrats are gay. Obama is married to a woman that looks like a man. A gay man named Larry Sinclair claims to of had gay sex with Obama. Obama acts gay, walks, talks and crosses his legs like a woman. He dresses neat like a gay and has his nails done and wears make up. Obama is gay !
Riiiight, and NO repubs are gay, nor have they ever had gay affairs while spewing anti-gay rhetoric. Sure. What rock have you been living under???

The events you refer to were caused by the collapse of the housing market. The housing market collapsed because of liberal coercion into the mortgage industry. How do you communists called it, "social justice"? Go spread your filthy propaganda to someone who doesn't know any better. Your old tired hand is played out sucker.
Besides your social justice warrior president has made everything decisively worse since he's implemented his disastrous keynesian economics, enjoy the electoral beatdown true American patriots are about to bestow on you in November.
Agreed. I dated a mortgage broker (who was very liberal) during the housing bubble. She got loans for illegal immigrants. When I asked how you can borrow six figures and not have a SS number, she basically called me a racist. She became evasive when I delved deeper. I got the feeling that these were usurious with extra fees and higher rates to offset the increased risk. I guess laws don't matter anymore. At least it paid for her five figure kitchen in her 6 figure home.

The culprits are clinton, andrew cuomo, barney frank, maxine waters, chris dodd and the 0rganizer. Blame must also be placed on the idiots who bought houses they couldn't affford.

If one is against gay marriage then that is there prerogative. No one should force their beliefs on another. Of all the things that this president has done and those people he is in bed with, this is what gets people's goats? I will not be voting for Obama, not because of this, but because of what he stands for and those he surrounds himself with.

The majority of citizens or states do not agree with homosexual marriage. If all citizens were to vote it would never be.
And where is it stated that citizens can vote on each others rights???

Can I vote on yours??

When liberals flip flop they are considered to be evolving; when a conservative does it they are considered to be flip-flopping. What a double standard we have in this country.

What you fail to realize is that while your point is one facet of the problem, the larger issue was the loosening of regulations(supported by Republicans) for how much money was needed to be held by the banks to cover all of those mortgage backed securities. When the banks no longer needed to hold that cash to cover the implosion, they didn't and when the securities screwed the proverbial pooch there was nothing to cover them. That led to the disasters which led to the bailouts. If you are going to use an episode to make or fight a point, please give the whole story.
BTW, Bush and his administration as well as most repubs were all for the bailouts so that their precious interests in these banks/businesses wouldn't tumble and it was the dems who wanted more restrictions on thise bailouts. Funny how y'all forget those little details.
No I don't forget little details liberal apologist. I don't forget the congressional transcripts of Bush's treasury secretary John Snow pleading with congress to apply more regulation on the government sponsored enterprises and congressional liberals eviscerating him and defending the solvency of the GSE's like rabid wolverines. Shall I post the videos for you? Can you please list the examples of how the Obama administration has created the environment for the housing market to finally recover and subsequent economy. And don't bother to post the pissing away of trillions in economic stimulus that hasn't stimulated anything except crushing debt and overbearing bloated government.

These liberals trying to escape all blame is sickening. Bush didn't run Fannie and Freddie. The liberals that run the GSE's did the bidding of leftist economic wrecking balls like Chris Dodd and Bwarney Fwank. I'm sure mortgage brokers like your ex took advantage of the loose lending hands from the GSE's as much as they could for personal gain. But truth be known, your ex wasn't the one approving those loans for deadbeats and illegals, she was just a paper pusher who helped them apply for them, and to her financial delight, they were all somehow approved?

You sound vindictive since she dumped you. Why would an mortgage broker date a barely literate choad like you? I think your story is a fairytale.

Blah blah blah blah focking blah!
If it was the "liberals" who wrecked the economy why is it the cons who oppose any sort of regulation that might keep Wall Street from raiding our pensions and the treasury again?
The GOP wants to set the dial right back to the Cheney/Bush era of deregulation, cronyism, and rapacious greed. They think there is some blood left in the turnip and they demand their right to extract it. No matter who gets hurt.

It's FAR worse.

The liberals that ran fannie mae LOOTED it.

Franklin raines is used govt money to defend himself in a criminal accounting scandal.

Documents reviewed by The New York Times indicate that taxpayers have paid $24.2 million to law firms defending three of Fannie’s former top executives: Franklin D. Raines, its former chief executive; Timothy Howard, its former chief financial officer; and Leanne Spencer, the former controller.

Mr. Raines retired in December 2004 and Mr. Howard resigned at the same time. Ms. Spencer left her position as controller in early 2005. The following year, the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight, then the company’s regulator, published an in-depth report on the company’s accounting practices, accusing Fannie’s top executives of taking actions to manipulate profits and generate $115 million in improper bonuses.

The office sued Mr. Raines, Mr. Howard and Ms. Spencer in 2006, seeking $100 million in fines and $115 million in restitution. In 2008, the three former executives settled with the regulator, returning $31.4 million in compensation. Without admitting or denying the regulator’s allegations, Mr. Raines paid $24.7 million and Mr. Howard paid $6.4 million; Ms. Spencer returned $275,000.
